.Razor:Lécollier à Nogent 6/8 wedge Strop: Pressed wool+latigo (25/50) Preshave: hot towels + T&H ultimate comfort shaving oil Brush:Plisson #10 blaireau noir lather:Plisson Bol à raser AS: Martin de Candre "huile de camomille" EdT:Comptoir Sud Pacifique, Aqua Motu Comments:The hot towel is the best preshave that I can know, no other product can beat it. The Lécollier has easyly shaved among the thick lather of the Plisson team. For the summer, an oil as aftershave could be too grasy, but this light oil of Martin de Candre applied in a very small quantity is very good. Enjoy the Saturday chaps.

Saturday Morning
Prep: Hot towel–followed by Robeson bay rum (mentholated) beard prep method
SC: Cella "Crema da Barba"
Brush: Rooney 3-2 faux Horn “Silvertip Badger”
Razor: EJ “Chatsworth" w/ Wilkinson Sword stainless blade
Astringent: Thayers “Lemon” Witch Hazel
ASB: Anherb Natural Aftershave Conditioner
AS: Speick Men
Result: Top of the world!
Cella rightfully deserves its reputation as a premier shaving cream. It delivers mounds of delightfully almond scented lather that provides excellent cushion and glide for a wet shaver.

A very nice looking TI you have there Mikael. Where did you snag it?
You've said it all my man. RW 8/8 + DC 1913 = Shaving Nirvana.
Those no-name vintage razors can sometimes surprise us--in a good way. Glad to hear that your search for a good quality vintage razor was successful.
BTW...That Omega Boar brush of yours, especially the handle, is certainly eye-catching.
What a nice shaving kit for your head shave. You have a nice relaxing weekend too Grant.
Only two cups of coffee Jim? Heresy! I'm on my third cup--and heading for six.
Regardless of how much coffee you've consumed that's a very beautiful, subdued photo of your shaving kit, especially the razor. It captures the mood of your post perfectly.Last edited by jhenry; 06-25-2011 at 01:26 PM.

Very nice Saturday morning shave kit
Rene,
A RAD is a RAD regardless of how you justify it or disguised it, LOOOOOOL. But, the one you're on is a "mission critical" RAD. Happy hunting
Then it must be a special day Tom. Enjoy
Beautiful blade Mikael...TI factory edges are pretty darn sharp indeed. Personally, they are too sharp for my taste...I dial mine back a little and smooth them out before use.
Thank you Rum. I take it your brother is a fan of Bladerunner the movie (maybe)? It's one of the best SciFi movies of all time. Please convey my thanks adn appreciation to your brother
Haaaaa...the blade isn't locked up (yet), but maybe I should consider it!! Hmmmmmm (thinking)
You know it brotha...Dreamy shave for sure. The scent alone paralyzes all senses
Have a grand old time with friends Birnando. And what a fabulously special shave to prep for this event. Beautiful hard- and software choice. Well done buddy
Kalerolf,
Never heard of the "Rakete" brand either, but she sounds like she took on a nice edge. Congratulations on an interesting buy. Any other info on the back tang, etc...?
At the very least, your family can get to experience some top notch cooking. Great adventure you must have had for the past year. I envy you brother. Very nice...you really went outside your comfort zone. I like that a lot.
Thank you Grant
He's been pulling your leg mate
First class head shave Grant. Enjoy the near BBS feel.
Look who's back!!! Welcome back Jim. It's so nice to see you again buddy. That shave sounds exhilarating...So does that soap. Congrats. I hope to see more SOTDs in the coming days/months.
Yeeaaaaaaaaah José,
That's what I'm talking about buddy. Wonderful cast of characters today. +1 on MdC Copra Oil...I love that stuff.
I agree Monroe. Cella is an unassuming, but first rate product. Well done
Now, do I know you or do I know you, LOOOL? Hmmmmm, come to think of it, the 15:1 odds I gave you was a little too conservative. Didn't even last a week, LOOOOOL

Thanks.
Unfortunately no further information on the back of the tang or box, only Rakete , Solingen and the numbers 58.

I am careful with this brush, it's been over 10 years in my possession and is still working as
day one!
