I feel like I'm back in Italy just thinking about your shave, Monroe!
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

    Wednesday

Kukri 5/8, Tabac soap, NF2213, Alum, Tabac ASL

This was a test shave after trying an experiment using with my Dragon's Tongue hone with oil as a finisher, the result was very promising

Post Week of June 19 SOTD - Wednesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 22mm Vulfix Super Badger
Glenstrepiece:5/8" Wade & Butcher "Special", Full Hollow Ground, Spike Point (restored by Glen)
Strop: 40/50 laps (Torolf linen / SRD Premium IV leather)
Überlather: Institut Karité Crème à raser + Institut Karité Savon à raser + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
    After Shave Splash: Proraso AS
After Shave Balm: Institut Karité ASB
    Cologne: Creed "Original Santal" EdT
Results: I had not used this Glensterpiece in a very long time, but I am glad that I did so today. She still maintains the original edge Glen gave her. W&Bs are fabulous shavers, regardless of size or grind, imo. From the software side of things, the Institut Karité is another marvelous shea butter based product that left my skin ultra moisturized, not just during but also after the shave. The uber was (literally) to die for and the balm just fantastic . A incredibly pleasant and BBS shave.

    Birnando,
Great to hear you're healed and back to the routine of things...and what a way to make a comeback my friend. That is one drop dead gorgeous Revisor. Congratulations. I've been on the lookout for one of these forever, but for one reason or another, never really went for it. After seeing yours, I am feeling the urge surface again.

Results: Today was a test shave for the first two blades I've honed on my new Chosera stones. I had volunteered, prior to my vacation, to hone a few blades for Rene. The Villoresi soap, though, I'm sad to say was not quite the star of the shave I'd hoped.
    Bill,
Nice of you to do the honing for Rene. He will be a happy camper I am sure. Sorry about the soap though.

Who indeed, LOOL. Excellent choice today Glenn. That Filarmonica of yours was one of the best (and smartest and luckiest) purchases you ever made. Can't believe you picked that up for a song. Very impressive and fabulous rescale job

Gives nothing less than a DFS every time. Coupled with the frankincense soap, I had one hell of an enjoyable shave today.
Nice and effective shave today Theseus. Welcome to the clean shaven world. Looks like you are more than ready for whatever the world has to throw your way...

You nostalgic old fart you, LOL...Now, you got me thinking too. I would also love to visit the 60s, 70s with you (although I was too young). Sounds like an awesome shave Jamie...ready to visit the 60s brother?

Nice experiment Nic. Promising, meaning "there lots of room for improvement" or that "it's almost there"?

    Thanks mate!
It's so funny you should say that, because I've been thinking about getting one for at least a year now, but for some reason, never did.
I guess what pushed me over the top was hearing a couple guys talking about them in the irc chat.
I must say, it is a beautiful razor, and I heartily recommend anyone to try one out

    Re your shave today.
You seem to have bought not only a bunch of wonderful shavers, but a lot of exiting new software as well.
I'm taking notes every day, and will stock up a bit, largely based on your fine descriptions and pictures.
    Thanks again

Well it means worth further testing! I took a razor that was shaving OK and got it to shave better, previously the DT hadn't significantly improved the edge from a 6K but use with oil seems to have helped.
