Quiet afternoon shower and shave.
Hot Shower
Warm oil
Dirty Bird Scuttle
Boar Brush
Attempted Uber lather with La Toja, Stephan's Shave Cream and glycerine
Dovo Prima Silver Steel
30 Laps on 12K, 15 laps on Crox, 100 laps leather
AOS Aluminum
Pinaud Bay Rum
Vaseline for me.
I totally screwed up on the shave cream. It was just thin, runny and ugly. I was able to get a really nice shave since the Dovo was just off a refresh and it was sharp and smooth. The shave stuff (won't call it soap or cream) was really ugly but pretty slick so the blade glided along pretty well.
All in all a nice afternoon shave that I enjoyed. It was topped off by my youngin arriving home after work and providing me with a great hug and smile.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

Thanked: 33Beautiful Razor, you photography is what I aspire to
I'm a consumer of quality products. Third world, old world, or new world, It doesn't matter to me, good is good. I don't compare. I enjoy the virtues and find joy in what they offer. There's too much comparisons in the shave world., I try to accept products for what they are and enjoy the virtues they offer. There's no comparison between a cheap Turkish horsehair brush and a Plisson but each can offer a joy to the wet shaver with an open mind. It's all good, Neither better, neither less.Last edited by newb; 07-07-2011 at 08:55 PM.

Thanks Matt. The MDC and Endymion Is a bit of a fave uber' for me. Great scent and just gobs of silky lather! I always feel guilty about pouring the rest down the drain...
The W&B was fantastic. I can't claim the scales but it's an excellent razor. Old Sheffield steel. Gotta love it.
Thanks Jeff. The scar is still pink but it is closed so I was able to just gently move around it.
Do you think you had too much H2O on the mix? I always just dribble it in off my fingertips to prevent getting to much in and thinning it out. I have that Dovo and it's an excellent razor.
