Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol)

Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer

After Shave Splash: James Bronnley AS

After Shave Balm: James Bronnley ASB

Cologne: James Bronnley EdT

Results: Today, I decided to use one of the Henckels à la Max. Also, a few months ago, I had received a sample of James Bronnley's EdT. The scent was nice (Seville Oranges blend with Bergamot, exotic spices and fresh aromatic herbs, resting on a rich base of cedar and mosses). I liked it enough (and it was cheap enough) that I decided to order me the whole line (creme, EdT, AS, ASB). They are featured today. The creme has some SLS, which I don't like but produced a good lather. Great combination with the rather neutral scent of MWF, not to mention that the latter kicks the quality of the lather up a notch !! The Henckels gave a spectacular shave . I am BBS and ready to rock & roll.

Still pretty irritated, but I don't think I made things worse with today's efforts. It seemed to work pretty well to do the harder areas with the DE first so I wasn't tempted to unleash more cheese grater on my torn up areas. Once they heal, I'll go back at it.

Notes: A lovely summer's day here in Oslo. I woke up thinking I had messed up - half my face was still BBS from yesterday's shave so I feared I had nothing to shave today. I'm glad to see it was a false alarm, as the day progressed stubble appeared . Today I changed my shaving routine as well, I followed the method described by AFDavis11 in this article, and for me it was a revelation. I used to do one pass full face, then another direction full face again. This won't be the last time I follow this regime. Super smooth, almost no burn at all from my 160 proof aftershave splash, and full BBS.
I got a Dorado ready for the grill with some home made pesto, and in the glass a new Chablis. Happy days.

Thanks Robert. I got the Dorko from Bob Keyes--one of my favorite vintage razor restorers/resellers.

As for the MDC Vetyver...I like it so far. Nice light vetyver fragrance that lasts for awhile.

Of course, this is the first time I"ve used it. I'll give you an update after I've done so a few times.

LOL! I think your right. I was thinking of cutting down to one razor. One razor for every day of the year that is.

Results: Only had time for a 1 pass shave today as I woke up late for a meeting. Still one pass with the Goldedge is better than a a couple with a schick! Besides there'll be more to shave tomorrow when I have extra time to enjoy the process.
