Good evening Gents! We had a beautiful summer's day in Oslo today.

    Shave prep: Face wash
    Brush: Omega boar # 81052
    Soap: Michell's Wool Fat
Razor: E. Alberto. 5/8 wedge, spike point
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
    After Shave Splash: English Leather
Notes: A slightly hurried shave early this afternoon, noticeably more sting from the high alcohol splash but no nick or weepers, and comfortably smooth afterwards.

So, you use more pressure with the Hollows?

Gorgeous Puma Mikael. You seem to have as many Neil Miller's as I have Maxterpieces, LOL
    Lol.
    Thank you!
Well, I wouldn´t say pressure, the only time I can speak of using more presure is when I use a razor that´s dull, but it´s still more a state of mind than actually forcing the razor, if it doesn´t sound to weird. It was on purpose I used the term "more light handed" rather than pressure, I can´t really explain it in a good way.

For us here in Europe it is better, although not necessarily very cheap with respect to p&p. My take is that shipping costs are what they are and not much can be done about it no matter where one's location may be. Don't forget that with most vendors here in Europe we do not have this "free shipping over $XX" mentality, like you do in CONUS - that's an important benefit to me.

My sister came to Chicago a week back, stayed there for 4 days. Had I known, I would have alerted you guys in case you wanted me to bring some shaving supplies over. Next time when it will be my turn to come over I'll keep it in mind though.
    Count me in!!

What a Great SOTD!!!!! I tried this new soap from Razorock for the first time and am in love!!!! It is THE BEST LATHER I have used yet that was not some Uber made by me. If you like thin dry runny lather this is not for you! I turned Robert and Obie on to it yesterday after I pressed it into a container and took the scraps off the wrapper with a butter knife and whipped some up (just to test it). No I did not shave at that point but I did sit around with a face of lather for 15 min just to see when it would dry out or fade...... still waiting. Excellent cushion and glide. Think Cella on steroids. A hint of amoretto and slightly sweeter. AWESOME!!!!!! The C-Mon did a fantasitic job. I think I have an itch to try and make Uber with two soaps, no cream. MDC and this!!! If you can't tell I 'm excited!

Default Been a while, could tis be the first failed SOTD?

    Good evening chaps (and chappesses).

It was with great delight that I took possession of my latest acquisition earlier today. Joy abounds at the sound of Mr Postman delivering said item, ready to bring forthwith a 'Shave of the day' after a lapse in communications with fellow forumites for some time.

Supposedly 'shave ready' t'was not.. Some time later on the Charnley (and layers of tape) failed to give satisfaction. First swipe across the bristles, grown for todays purpose over many days was a rough as warm scrumpy with a crusty head.

It is with this I give you the first FSOTD (Failed Shave Of The Day)..

Klas Tornblom Eskilstuna Sweden, 5/8ths notched square point faux frameback.
*..sigh..* may have to send this little treasure off to be dealt with properly.

With that I got my 'Old Faithfull' out, the best £10 I ever spent on a straight, my go-to, better than my TI, hasn't let me down yet, favourite.

So here is my reclaimed 'Shave Of The Day' bliss...
