Week of July 31 SOTD - Friday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: 26mm Rudy Vey w/ TGN Grade A Silvertip Badger, Kingwood handle Glensterpiece: 5/8" Genco "Easy Aces", Full Hollow Ground, Spike Point (w/ Swirl Acrylic scales) Strop: 30/45/45 (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial #1 Horsehide leather / Imperial #2 Cordovan leather) Überlather: Art of Shaving "Lavender" Shave Creme + SRD "Lavender" Shave Soap + Glycerin Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue AS Cologne: Results: A common problem of having a collection of blades is despite never getting bored and having variety to choose from, you won't get to use the same blade for awhile. This certainly holds true of this Genco. She was restored by our very own Glen. He did a complete job on this beauty, including blackening the tang to the original classic version. She is an incredible shaver and she certainly played her part true to form today. The SRD/AOS Lavender combo was just as equally incredible and überlicious. My face is CBS, sporting a BIG smile, and wife is very happy with this outcome.
TGIF...Have a SENSATIONAL Friday and end of the week gentlemen.

Internet will be sporadic if available at all today...Wife and I decided to trade our cable company services for AT&T Uverse. Will be back online soon (hope)
Frank,
That scent sounds amazing. Great combination with the DT13
In fact, I would say that looking at Value (defined as Performance/Price ratio here), NOTHING beats it.
Another beautiful dynamic duo Bela. Love that Flaschner
Konstantinos,
I think you are starting to gravitate towards Swedish blades...Can't blame you. They are amongst some of the best steels out there
Wonderful W&B Tom...I see that your Harley riding is still on the agenda.
Well done Jamie...keep at it buddy. When it clicks, it reaaaally clicks and then you'll know
Otto,
Very niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice buddy
Now, I have to give this thing a try. But, I don't use anything on face at night. I just do a two minute war/hot wash with water only and that's it.
What a beauty Sten...Can't wait to see her in her new clothes. She's going to literally make you "Horny", LOOOOL.
My condolences, LOOOOL. Enjoy your freedom 'til Monday
Thanks Konstantinos
Congratulations on scoring such a beautiful razor. She's going to be a very nice shaver indeed.
Another day with the slant. Nicely done BM
GI,
Beautiful blade but sorry about the edge. Do you usually do this many laps on the strops?
Jack,
Don't you know that it's illegal to text while driving...much less shaving while driving, LOL
Woooaaaaah Antoni,

Thanks Robert! You don't have to be jealous. You don't own any ugly razor. I saw your Iwasaki kamisori, a new one?
Well, about my Guillermo Hoppe, I bought her last Saturday on eBay, and received on Wednesday in this state:
After some soft cleaning and polishing, she looks like:
Sorry for trolling

Friday
I've been away on a family vacation. Visited Montgomery and Mobile, Alabama. My travel shaving kit.
Prep: Hot shower
SS: Proraso “Savon A Barbe” (Travel Size)
Brush: Simpsons Major M1 Travel Brush “Super Badger”
Razor: Merkur 33C Classic w/ Lord Stainless blade
Astringent: RazoRock pure alum block
ASG: Visal “Dopo Barba” gel
Cologne: D. R. Harris & Co. “Arlington”
Result: Well done…
And a photo from my vacation of the Alabama State Capitol building. The church to the right in the photo is the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church of Martin Luther King, Jr. and headquarters of the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the 1950s civil rights movement. What irony. Dexter is located no more than a block from the birthplace of the Confederacy, where Jefferson Davis was sworn in as its first president.
