I quit a long, long time ago. 25 years later I continue to remember how difficult it was. Hang in there, it gets better. God Speed.
I do the same thing on long weekends. Give the skin a chance to recover. Anyway, gorgeous razor.
Gorgeous razor. I find it relaxing to shave in the evening.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

Thanked: 1185Technical Monday Shave
Prep: Hot Shower
Razor: Boker Red Injun 102
Brush: Omega Boar
Cream: C.O. Bigelow
AS: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Finish: English Leather Cologne
Don't know if it was 3 straight days of 3 pass shaves or maybe I didn't rinse the alum off my face very well yesterday but my face was a bit irritated today. In either case, it was good to get back to my standard two pass shave. Thunderstorms and steady rain this morning, would have been a fine one to lay in bed until about noon.
PS: Hard storms blowing through, not fit weather for man nor beast outside but alas, I owe, I owe, it's off to work I goLast edited by 1OldGI; 09-06-2011 at 11:29 AM.

This pic is from my trip back from the Sydney get-together on the weekend. Its a 6 hour drive home and almost the whole trip consists of scenery like this. I enjoyed every minute of it.
Tonight was a low budget Uber but still a good one. 3 passes and I'm smooth as a catfish's belly, and feeling fresh.

Result:I've convinced a co-worker to try straight razors. I did this restoration over the weekend and got her all honed up for him(1k/4k/8k Norton, Shoobi-Doobi Asagi, Nakayama Maruka Kita, Y/G Escher). This was my only shave with her as she is headed to her new home today. 2 passes and very smooth and I think the new owner will be very pleased.
