Yes indeed that Colt is a beauty (the razor is very nice too). I agree, restoration is a lot of fun. Keep up the good work!

09-07-2011, 03:01 AM #143I have to admit that this SOTD thingy is pretty addictive. Loving everyone's shaves and gears. I think I'll go through withdrawals if I don't get my daily dose. Keep up the FANTASTIC work and bring on those great shaves guys.
King,
Now you've done it again. A Stunning brush and a fabulous Iwasaki. What a shave
Thank you kindly Joe. The kind words are appreciated my friend. Toyos are amazing shavers
Kalerolf,
Now this is what I call getting back to one's roots. Well done...and an amazing piece of hardware this Hartring is.
PS: Were you MIA or is it just me, being so out of commission that it seems like I haven't seen you in awhile?
Thanks Matt...your shave (despite seemingly rushed), looks pretty awesome too
Keep at it Rune...You've got all the support that you could wish for in this forum brother. To keep your mind off it, concentrate on your nice collection of razors.
Another winner shave (and shot) Teiste
Thanks Angel.
Paul,
That is a nice shave...Hope your call and dental appt wasn't too grueling. But I am sure that made up for lost time by working on a few razors, LOOL. Can't wait to see them
Rum,
This combo just cannot be improved upon. Top shelf gear my friend. Well done
Love those scales José
Oooooh yeaaaaah. +1 for choice of Arlington Monroe. That Boker sure adds spice to the mix too
Frank,
Rudy Vey + NB + SB = STELLAR shave
Not at all surprising Glenn. Congrats

Locale:The Dungeon of Dew, The Lair of Damp Music: Pat Travers Live prep: Hot shower / Goats Milk Soap / Virgin Olive Oil Rub Strop: Star 3" Big Daddy Chestnut 25/50 Brush: Tweezerman Pure Badger Uber: RazoRock XXX Razor: 6/8 Genco Henry's XX, Weishi DE w/ Shark Chrome blade Post: Alum Block + Humphrey's Original Alcohol Free Witch Hazel AS: Lucky Tiger EDT: Black Leather Result:No pictures tonight, I was just too tired. My Travis Honed (at the meetup) Genco shaves amazingly. I now do my touchups with my new DE razors. I have a new Parker, a Weishi and a Gillette 1933 vintage. They all shave great, but nothing holds a candle to my Genco. It's a beautiful cool evening in the Rockies, a great shave for a great night!
Happy Shaves!!!!
Mike-- Any day I get out of bed, and the first thing out of my mouth is not a groan, that's going to be a good day --

Hang in there!! I quit using snuff this winter and that was the mother pain of all, for me, but it's worth it, so worth it!!
I agree Robert - GREAT work and gear Everyone!! And it must be addictive, I think every other day "today I'll only shave and don't bother with a pic" but does it happen!? No!
