    Mikael,
+1 on the La Toja soap. It is truly magnificent (scent is amazing too). Love the LG and NF brush too. Did Peter make the handles or is that an "after market" job?
Thank you Robert! you ain't half bad either lol. I did it myself, so I guess it was kind off an after market job.

    Good evening friends!

    Shave prep: Face wash
    Brush: Fonex boar brush
    Soap: Crabtree & Evelyn Nomad
    Scuttle: Robert Becker large
    Razor: John Barber, 5/8 wedge
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Coffee home made splash
Notes: Busy days lately, not much time for shaving let alone photography. Anyways, this afternoon's shave was magnificent, and although I have not yet had a chance to rescale it as I want (had to reorder the horn) I decided to bring out my John Barber and treat myself a little. I am glad to say it worked - 2-pass comfortable smooth BBS, the lather was nice and slick and the splash left me smelling and feeling great.

    T.,
Great shave my friend. Sorry about the irritation though. It's interesting to see a little razor like that cause such discomfort, eh? Heal fast

Thanks for the info Béla. I know Tom likes his synthetics too.

    Rum,
Don't rush it my friend. Let the hand stay dry and heal. I am certain you will have a blast on Sunday (without the worry)

So it would seem that my “skills” on the hones are haphazard at best. The wester bro found its way back to the hones (as I still have yet to get a comfortable shave out of it) and I had it popping hair (HHT) and looking good. So I thought; after this morning’s shave it would appear I was suffering a minor delusion while honing as the edge did not want to impart any comfort to my shave. Razor aside the XXX was great, nice scent and great lather.
    Dunc,
Maybe it's the razor and not your honing?!! it happens. But I agree with XXX...Excellent soap/creme.

LOOOOL. You did great with that brush Mikael. I am impressed. There's more to you than meets the eye brother.

    Sten,
Great shave with the Barber. What a nice treat (especially after being inundated with work/life stuff)...Can't wait for you to dress her in the new horn clothing.

Tonight's shave was prepped as usual, warm shower, Stephan's rubbed into the whiskers, warm oil.
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    Badger Brush
Razo Rock Artisan Lime Shave Soap
Dovo Prima Silver Steel, 5/8 Full hollow
    30 laps 12K, 20 Laps Crox, 40 Laps linen, 100 laps leather
    AOS Aluminum
    Stephan's Island Lime AS
    Vaseline for men

This was a nice shave. After refreshing the blade on the Naniwa, Crox and leather the razor was sharp and smooth. The Razo Rock Soap Lime Soap was amazing. Provided a great amount of thick, slick lather. This is the second time I have used a Razo Rock product and I am very happy with it.

I was treated to a nice shave that easily passed the BBT.

    Enjoy the evening!!

This stainless steel razor has been more of a challenge than most, to get as sharp as I like, but 70 laps on my new hone and its lovely.
A superb close, irritation free shave and another highly informative session with my unidentified olive green hone.
    Have a fantastic Friday, gentlemen.
    Regards
    Nic
