Another great shave from one of my Geneva blades. This round point Pyramid 7N was the first of my Geneva razors and responds very well to my face as does most of my New York steel blades.
    Nathan,
It's great to see you photos . An excellent shave with nothing but an excellent razor

    Paul,
Endure the weekend brother and rest assured that no one in this forum will ever forget 9/11. it is ingrained in our minds forever. That day changed the lives of us all (American or not). Be safe brother and thank you (and the other active or inactive officers) for what you have and keep doing for this country.

I am inclined to think that its just another one of many variations of CF but definitive identification seems unlikely so I'm happy know it as my olive green hone and just appreciate that it puts a wicked edge on my razors, £5.50 well spent I'd say
    Nic,
For £5.50, I wouldn't even lose sleep over it. If she gave you the edge you like, that's al that matters at the end of the day. Enjoy that beautiful stone

    She's a beauty Nic.

    Default Friday

Good Morning, today I went with.

    Prep: Shower
Strop: TI Paddle Strop, 30, 70
Brush: Aqua Di Parma, Silvertip, Wenge Wood Handle
    Soap: Proraso
    Razor: Dovo 6/8" Pearlex

I decided to go with a simple 2 pass shave. I'm invited to dinner and Shisha (Hookha) this evening and will probably shave again before I go out.

Dedicated to Those Who Have Been Called to Give "Their Last Full Measure of Devotion"

Ten years ago, our Nation was rocked by a tragic event most us believed, arrogantly, could never occur on American soil. Those events shaped the lives of millions. Many lost loved ones directly or indirectly to the events of those days. Hundreds of thousands both in uniform and out have answered the call. Nations rallied around our country in its time of pain, sorrow and morning.

I will never forget those first minutes, hours, and days after the attacks. The Soldiers working for and with me were consummate professionals who set aside their own personal fears and concerns to do the important work ahead of them. I, like many others, have lost friends and colleagues along the way in Iraq and Afghanistan. I have seen the awesome power of our military, and I cherish the freedoms those who serve provide for me.

My shave week finishes, appropriately in my mind, with my Torrey "Army" razor. Just like the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines I've had the pleasure of serving with and alongside, it simply does its job, quietly, professionally, and without reservation.

I would like to say "Thank You" to all those who don a uniform each day, military and civilian alike, to protect us as we sleep soundly in our beds. I would like to say "Thank You" to those who have given us their sons, their daughters, their loved ones to fight for us. Most importantly, I would like to say "Thank You" to those who have given their last full measure of devotion in the war against terrorism. Those of us continuing to enjoy the freedoms you protected can never repay that debt. We can only wish that you, and those closest to you, may find peace in your hearts.
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.
