I honed a couple razors last night. This one on Bill's Jnat he loaned me. Well i can see why Max would never let his Extra Hollow go. 2 passes to glory! Wonderful shave. Enjoy your weekend. Tomorrow marks 10 years from the world trade center disaster. I remember everything about that day. My hear goes out to everyone touch by this disaster.

    Good evening friends!

    Shave prep: Face wash
    Brush: Frank Shaving finest badger
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Scuttle: Robert Becker large
Razor: Wade & Butcher, 5/8 hollow spike
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Sherwood home made splash / superglue
Notes: Aiaiai! Thought it was a nice setup and was looking for a long, comfortable and nice shave, but I got myself a decent cut today. We got unexpected visitors and there was a lot of commotion from the dogs, and a short slip of attention sealed that deal. Had to bring out the glue to stop it. I got in one pass before it happened. I'll let it heal a day or two, we'll see how it does tomorrow.

I decided to go with a simple 2 pass shave. I'm invited to dinner and Shisha (Hookha) this evening and will probably shave again before I go out.
I love that brush EA. Beautiful design. Italians know how to do this right. Enjoy your dinner and post dinner activities. You're going to be floating on cloud 9 for some time, LOOOL

Stupendous shave with the Eagle and MWF Angel. I am surprised the MWF gave you problems. Da Fat never steers you wrong. It is a ultra moist soap/lather

Oh brother...Sorry to hear it buddy. It's bound to happen to all of us in our shaving journey...Just a numbers game (especially with a sharp object)...Heal fast brother. Hope it's not deep enough that will warrant you staying away from shaving for a few days

Post Week of September 4 SOTD - Saturday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 23mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Razor: 11/16" J.R. Torrey, Full Hollow Ground, Spike Point (Gift from Rene)
Strop: 25/40/40 (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial Horsehide leather / Imperial Cordovan leather)
Überlather: Al's "Vetiver" Shave Creme (sample from Rene)+ SRD "Vetiver" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose, no alcohol)
    Moisturizer: Trumper's Fragrance-free Moisturizer
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue AS
    Cologne: Creed "Original Vetiver" EdT
Results: Another Torrey-fic shave with this razor. Vetiver was definitely the scent for today and what better combo than with Al's and SRD's Vetiver mix. My face is BBS to the max and I am ready to start the day.

Another recycled picture (last one as I am taking some pictures today).

    Have an AMAZING Saturday gentlemen.

Prep: 4 mile run, lukewarm shower
    Razor: Texas Shumate
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Cream: C.O. Bigelow
    AS: Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Finish: Ed Hardy Knock Off

After the initial stropping the edge on this razor felt a little muddy so I decided a quick touch up hone was in order and shaved with it right off the stone. The edge was absolutely crisp and rendered a remarkable two pass shave.
The older I get, the better I was

    Default Saturday

Prep: Hot shower - followed by Proraso pre-post shave cream
    SCS: Valobra (Almond)
Brush: Rooney 2-1 faux Horn “Silvertip Badger”
Razor: EJ Chatsworth w/ Wilkinson Sword stainless blade
Astringent: Dickinson’s Witch Hazel w/ Aloe Vera
ASB: Barclay Crocker “Bay Rum” scent
    AS: Dominica “Bay Rum”
Result: Close, quick, comfortable, and refreshing shave…

Valobra is one of those top-notch, yet under-appreciated shaving soaps. I've never had a bad shave with it. Its consistency is more putty like than hard, meaning it can be shaped to fit your shaving mug. It comes in bricks like the RozoRock Italian Master Barber Limited Edition soap that is causing such a stir. Valobra is about ½ the price of the RazoRock Italian Master Barber soap, however.
