Thanks Mikael, I've been using snus and smoking the last couple years, I decided to quit both before summer, but not at once, that would have been too much. The first days without snus was way worse than these days without smoke, haven't had a "pris" since april

    Mike,
Get some rest buddy...You seem to be running and working too hard. Great shave with some great soap and razor

    EA,
Time seems to fly when you're having fun brother...Keep having fun. Great SOTD. Love the vintage look to the photo

See? I knew it was me...I think it's because I was absent for a few days. It threw me off balance, I think, LOOOOL.

Mine too Glenn...Haven't read the book, but the movie was fantastic. Love it. Never tire of it. Great shave too with that beautiful Herbertz

    Tim,
Sleep does affect shave quality for sure...Get some rest brother. If you have access to Hibiscus flowers (dried ones), try it in hot water in the evenings. It lowers the blood pressure naturally and eases your transition to sleep. Send me a PM and I can send you some in you wish

PS: Great America theme, but sorry to hear about the less than stellar quality of the shave...It'll improve when you are more rested

    Post Cartoon of the Day

And for those enjoying political cartoons, this is just to brighten up your day. It is one of KAL's cartoons in the latest issue of The Economist, which I thought was hilarious.

Also in the news, The US falls to 5th place in global competitiveness, because of its huge deficits and declining public faith in government (just when we thought it couldn't get any worse). Switzerland held onto the top spot, Singapore moved up to second place, bumping Sweden down to third. Finland moved up to fourth place, from seventh last year.

    Wednesday 7th September

    Henckels 5/8
    Tony Miller ‘Notovan’ 30/50
    Nanny’s Ice and a Slice
Simpsons custom Polo 8 in Best
Boellis Panama 1924 after shave gel
    Zegna ‘Z’ Eau de Toilette

Two passes plus touch ups, a fine shave. The scent of the Boellis after shave gel continues to grow on me.

Snus is the worst, I used the stuff since I was a kid (started at the tneder age of 12-14 years old) and I've been at it for over 30 years Good luck with the fags, but remember to keep some "bad" things in life (cigars, wine and women should do fine, lol), it's all about balance

Spot on, we've a good place in here

Well, it's Trufitte & Hills, West Indian Lime cream ... or maybe you're thinking of the greenish color in the shaving mug under the brush? That's only a reflection of the green color from the T&H tube (I didn't see it until I checked again) ...

    Razorovo Best Quality
    Brush:Rooney pure badger
    Cream:Arko Adventure
AS:Thayers Lavender followed by Arko Adventure AS cream
Result:Having had such a great shave from the W&B yesterday, I only needed one pass with the Dovo today. The Arko Adventure cream and AS are from my recent bout of shopping on Tulumba. While the shave cream is average at best, I really enjoy the AS cream. Makes the skin feel nice and smooth.
