I really love these threads - some amazing kit on show, thanks for sharing guys!

Prep - Hot shower, face scrub
Brush - cheapo Wilkinson bristle brush that's been in the cabinet for about 12 years!
Razor - Ford and Medley 5/8th
Soap - Colonel Conk Bay Rum
AS - Clinique balm, Pinaud Clubman AS lotion
Soundtrack - Iron Maiden, Somewhere in Time

I was looking forward to this shave; today is my first of 10 days off from work (woohoo!) so I had a very lazy day, plus I was trying out a new soap and aftershave. Everything went well although I'm not too impressed with the Colonel Conk soap. I know it has mixed reviews on here. I found it tricky to get a good lather, and I'm not too impressed with the scent. I'll keep it, but don't see me using it much! People weren't joking when the said the Clubman comes with a kick! It was a real 'Home Alone' moment, but thankfully it only lasted a second or so then it started to feel pretty good. I like the smell - its different, but in a good way!

Out for dinner with the fiance tonight, so overall a good shave worthy of a good day!

    Take it easy guys

I just love the Semogue 2000 brush. It's big and it's floppy, so what? I like it that way. Perfect for building lather in the bowl.
The cost/benefit ratio of this brush is just unbeatable!
I took one of from you last year, I think...
    Worth every penny!

Sunday morning, a few too many beers last night, hence the large glass of Staminade prior to the morning coffee. Mick, Mick and Mick may have heard of Southwark, A South Australian beer, but may never have been brave (or silly) enough to indulge...

A refreshing ‘all Proraso’ shave with the Klas Törnblom. One pass only, I’m not yet skilled enough to do a ATG with this one...

Razor: Klas Törnblom Frameback, Ivory Scales
    Pre Shave: Proraso
    Cream: Proraso
    ASB: Proraso
    After Shave: None

    Monday

I decided on just Williams’ soap for this morning. Not looking forward to work at ALL. I decided the Williams’ soap is simply pathetic, useful only in an Überlather.

    Razor: Burrell Top Flight
    Pre Shave: None
    Soap: Windsor
    ASB: None
After Shave: Truefitt and Hill Trafalgar
Summary:The interesting thing is, even with weak lather, the shave ended up quite a nice, smooth shave...
