Thanks Robert, LOL, she's a La Grise, leaves a pretty nice and smooth edge when I finally figured her out.

    Robert,

I have used that Uber combo myself, fantastic!!!! I'm really beginning to love the RazoRock line of goods. For being the 'Cheap' side of the lineup, they are sure making some great products.

The birthday presents..... WOW!!! It's sure nice to have friends... I know, there are some amazingly great guys that frequent this place, and I'm mighty happy to have found you all!!

    Have a great day!!

One damn fine 100th straight razor shave! Figured I'd do it with what I started with, a 5/8 razor.
The Flaschner came decently honed, but I'm spoiled. Reset the bevel on the trusty Chosera 1k, then through my usual progression of Shapton GS's. A few laps on the strop and it was ready to go. Pretty happy with my honing now, getting sharp and smooth edges right off the Shapton 16k.
100 shaves down, and it's been a blast so far!
    Amund,
CONGRATULATIONS on your 100th shave buddy. What a momentous occasion. That Flaschner looks awesome (Hmmmm...This week must have been a Flaschner week).

PS; That's a great honing regimen too. Well done. Can't beat the Chosera or the Shaptons

    Glen,

Today my nose is working and I could enjoy the Spanish Fig & Nutmeg shaving soap. Have a great weekend guys!
    Tim,
    Congrats on several fronts:

    1. Great shave
    2. Finding time to enjoy some one-on-one with your wife
    3. Finding your olfactory sense back (hope it's permanent). Spanish Fig is amazing indeed

Great Shave! A quick turn on the stone took care of yesterday's muddy edge. A great "all American" shave.
Well done GI. Great honing too

    Thanks Mike,
RozoRock is truly amazing. Not to mention, Joseph and team are great to deal with too. Have you tried the AS wax? if not, you owe it to yourself. It is great stuff

Yeahhh...it's nice to have friends in high places, LOL. The next few days, I'll feature some others

    Sunday

I refreshed the edge of the Klas Törnblom on the Norton 4/8 and Shapton 16k yesterday with the Burrell and the W&B (20 passes on the Norton 8k and then 10 on the Shapton with just a tiny bit of slurry and 10 without slurry, very light). I remember someone telling me that the Shapton 16k makes a really smooth edge, and I think I now appreciate what that means.

An incredibly smooth shave; my best yet over the last three months or so, even did ATG on the neck and jaw line again, and for me, that’s one mean feat with this very, very light razor.

    Razor: Klas Törnblom
