Razor: 13/16" Fontana, Full Hollow Ground, Round Point

Strop: 15/55/30 laps (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial Shave "Pegasus III" Horse hide leather / Cordovan leather)

Soap: La Toja "Manantiales" Shave Soap + Glycerin

Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)

After Shave Splash: La Toja "Manantiales" AS

After Shave Balm: eShave "Almond" ASB

Cologne: La Toja "Manantiales" EdC

Results: La Toja all the way baby . The question was which razor would go well with this unassumingly terrific soap ?!!! Why not the Fontana? I won this beauty on eBay some time ago (lucky find really) in perfect NOS condition. An INCREDIBLE shave to finish the first half (or start the second half...depending on your outlook on things) of the week. Super smooth and irritation free face.

Nice shave today. Couldnt make the time necessary for a proper straight shave, but really needed to take down the 4 day growth, so set the Futur to 6 and away it went. The AK cream is fantastic stuff, my face really loves it

I will not be able to post my SOTD for a week or so, I am moving early next week and things are getting hectic with work and that. Once I am settled in I will be in full force again!!

I love the Futur its an excellent piece of engineering but setting it to 6 and with a Feather too?!?!? You are a brave man

That setup's more aggressive than a honey badger on steroids.

hahaha yeah , the Futur on 6 can be very aggressive, but I prefer the more aggressive DE's , when using a very light touch, it gives me such a fantastic result

And if you fail to use a light touch, you won't have a face left to shave anyway LOL...

Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Home made Vetiver splash
Notes: Brilliant shave today, slow and relaxing 2-pass BBS. I've missed the vetiver, it was blended in july but with so many new concoctions I really had no room for more splashes so it had just been standing for maturing. Yesterday I could no longer hold back, and I'm happy to say it was all I wanted it to be, so now all is again well in my little world Vetiver with a touch of spices, and tangerine and bergamot on top.
