Cheers Robert! Even though I knew, from your posts, I thought that it couldn't be that diffrent to my Henkotsu kamisori, but it was like you said - it was after my blood, or any blood ... I've never been this light handed and a couple of times I felt it was close and when I was almost home (I was on my last three strokes) she got what she wanted : blood, lol.

Just a quick head shave tonight before I headed out to see some MMA cage-fighting.
One of the boys I work with was fighting and I'm pleased to say he won via Tap-out due to a rear naked choke about 2 min into the first round. A great night.

    Friday

Razor: Kraut & Donahl 9/16; Gillette Tech
    Brush: Altesse Badger
    Cream: KMF Key Lime
    A/S: Adidas Ice Dive

Yesterday's shave was very close, so my beard was not very thick this morning. The K&D shaved quite nicely, but I had trouble at the bottom of the neck, so I pulled out the Tech after three passes for some touch up (and the Tech almost didn't get the job done because it is so light). Wound up with a DFS, but I'm happy. The Adidas Ice Dive provided a nice finish to a good shave.

Post Week of October 23 SOTD - Friday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: 23mm Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Maxterpiece: 7/8" Wade & Butcher Frameback, Spike/Barber's Notch (w/ Black Horn scales + Red Jasper Recon wedge)
Honing (Refresh) Regimen: Maruka Nakayama Kiita w/ Tomonagura slurry with 20 laps with each progressive dilution ending with 40 laps on water alone
Strop: 0/0/0 laps (Torolf Linen / Imperial Shave "Pegasus III" Horse hide leather / Cordovan leather)
Soapreme: RazoRock "XXX" Shave Creme + Cella Crema di Barba Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue AS
After Shave Balm: Sabon AS Creme
Cologne: Acqua Di Parma "Colonia" EdT
Results: Been awhile with this W&B frameback . Using it flooded me with memories of my fallen brother Mark (aka, Blugill, RIP) who had one too. Remembering his posts brought a BIG smile on my face. So, this shave's for you buddy ...wherever you are, may you be looking down on these posts and (hopefully) smiling too. I decided to hook the W&B with the XXX/Cella dynamic duo. The lather was abundant, moist and subtly and wonderfully fragrant. A terrific way to start (and probably end) this Friday. I am ready to be seen in public with my wife tonight.

    Have a TERRIFIC Friday gentlemen.

    Finally friday!

    Shave prep: Face wash
    Brush: Frank Shaving finest badger
    Soap: Proraso Green Tea
    Scuttle: Robert Becker large
    Razor: F.W. Söderén & Co, 7/8 frameback
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: Vetiver Rose home made splash
Companion: Glenfarclas 17 yo Single Malt
Notes: Uber-super shave this afternoon, just home from work and the weekend is fresh and new and brimming with promises. It's my second day on a row wearing the Rose Vetiver splash, it just crawled into my hands as I reached into the AS shelf. Nice slow and comfortable 2-pass shave, and to top it all off my old friend Glenfarclas stopped by as well. At only 17 he still knows how to make his arguments heard.
