I'll ask, not sure she approves altough that's probably a much better deal than the camel my father in law was offered for her in Egypt.

It was uneventful - from the safety point of view, which is, if you ask me, the most important thing
Anyway, it is so great&relaxing to look at all of Your photos once again, without the care in the world...
    Time to hit the sack...

Thanks for the advice Robert. I feel better. I've also managed to dig out from under a ton of student papers I was grading that was weighing pretty heavily on me mentally and emotionally.

As for the Maxtom's debut. It will have to get in line. I have a few more straight razors and a very nice vintage DE razor to debut before the Maxtom makes its appearance on the SOTD scene.

    Take care...

You got us really worried with your disappearance. We sure missed you and I'm happy to hear you're ok and back in business! As with any of our SOTD members, when one goes MIA, it's not the same and incomplete.

    Dom,
LOOOOOOL. "Hers" for me too buddy...All razors are feminine in my book (Brutes or not).

    Monroe,
All those papers and grading can wear the best of us down. Hope you're done with that chapter (at least for a short time).

PS: You BIG tease, LOL...You're gonna make us wait for the Maxtom, LOOOL? but, now I am very very eager to see what your vintage score were all about.

    Sunday

    Hot Towel Prep
    Bassler Stainless Steel - Edwin Jagger DE89 - Derby Cream - NF2213
    Alum - Aquatonic AS

A departure from the norm. A hot towel prep rather than a shower, I've tried that before and its been poor but this time I tried with a lather and again the results were poor. The Bassler which never gets quite as sharp as my others struggled with a less than perfect prep so I completed a 3rd pass with my Edwin Jagger DE89 and a Gillette Superthin blade.

The end result was BBS but not quite as planned.
    Regards
    Nic
