Taking Another Swing At Night Shaving
Prep: Hot Shower, Baby Oil Gel
    Razor: C.V. Heljestrand Mk4
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Soap: Arko Shavestick
    AS: Aloe Vera Gel
    Finish: Agua Lavanda Puig

I've pretty much been a life long morning shaver but I must admit that there are lots of things about the night shave that I like. In the evening shaves can be events, no hurry to be anywhere, take your time and enjoy. I also like the fact that no one is sleeping therefore, tunes can be enjoyed as well. Timing aside this was a fantastic shave, this razor is probably one of the four or five that on any given day I would identify as the best razor I have. One pass would have been more than adequate but I did two just for fun and because I was enjoying the moment.

    Nice score Monroe.

Results: One year and a lot of razors have passed by since my first straight shave, and what a year! When I did my first shave I was prepared for a steep and long learning curve, but everything went surprisingly well, a lot better than I had expected. Thanks to all of you who have helped and given good advice on the road, making me able to celebrate one year of straight shaving with a wonderful BBS shave!!!
Congrats on your first anniversary Rune...What a ride it must have been. And to think that you have a lifetime of fun left to enjoy this journey. Well done

Well the Conqueror didn't conquer much today. A quarter pass and it was obvious that the edge wasn't what it needed to be. Luckily the Blackie was up to the task. Two plus passes... tried to mix it up a bit and went for a brief ATG pass grip, angle and commitment were all lacking so WTG and XTG will do as usual. Had a bit of an issue with the lather as well... to much water...
    Hey Dunc,
Sorry to hear about the less than stellar performance of the Wosty (and the lather issues). Sounds like she needs a refresher on the hones. It's nice to have backup options, like the C-Mon in your case. There will be better days I am sure.
