    Wednesday

Worst day ever! The cut I got shaving was an apt portender of doom. One of those days where the first thing that greets you at work is an email from the Executive Director complaining about the email you sent yesterday. And using words like “I would prefer it if in the future you did not..” and “for your information...”.

Then, when my line manager asked if she could come over and speak to me about it I replied “I don’t care what you do...”.

To round it off a prison officer asked “Do they learn anything over there?” referring to the prison education centre I, seemingly allegedly, run.

Don’t you sometimes wish you could .... them all and go and live as a hermit near the beach, like in the picture below (’52 – ’57 Agfa Record II 6x9 Medium Format camera on Kodak T400CN (expired) at f32, 1/100, Hand Held, focussed at infinity)?

Sound track of the day was Brian Jonestown Massacre “Who Killed Sgt Pepper?”. Amazing, amazing stuff. Oh, other than the cut, the shave was pretty good, the Body Shop Macca root reminded me again it's a top quality cream and with a scent that lingers all day. To use aftershave (or indeed anything else, even water) would be foolery...

Razor: Burell Top Flight (it bit me)
    Pre Shave: Proraso
    Cream: Body Shop Macca root
    ASB: None
    After Shave: None

Just received this W&B from member smythe who said it was shave ready. He was correct. Love the razor, the Thäter 2-band and the Fitjar.

Sorry to hear that, I hope that this kind of day is a rare occurrence and that your week improves.
Sometimes I think life deals us really crappy day once in a while to make us appreciate the normal ones more.

    Sweet re-scale Rene, looks fantastic.

Jack has developed a fascination with my soaps and creams. I came home and caught him red handed (Can you see how scared he is of my wrath). He loves opening them and smelling them and talking about them. He's such a funny little dude.

    Fontana | Tabac | Semogue 2010 LE | Thayers | Profumo.it Don Corleone

I got this Fontana NOS from Revisor a couple of months ago. I was excited to find this particular blade and jumped on it immediately when I saw it was NOS. Sadly, when it showed up, the scales were terribly warped. So, I had no choice but to have it turned into a Maxterpiece. Max suggested a new light grey G10 and also proposed regrinding the toe from a round point to a nice spike. The result, as you can see, was nothing short of spectacular! I took her to the hones last night, and she came out with a buttery smooth edge that left me near BBS after a single pass! Now this little blade truly is what I thought it would be!

Carl, Hope you have a better rest of the day.
Don't you just hate it when everyone wants to be politically correct??? You tell the truth or say something someone doesn't want to hear they get "offended". Don't get me wrong, I am generally very polite, but sometimes too direct. YMMV.
