Week of December 4 SOTD - Sunday
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: 26mm Rudy Vey Custom TGN Grade A Silvertip Badger w/ Buckeye Burl Handle Razor: 7/8" Alex Jacques, Wedge, French Point (w/ Black & Tan G10 scales) Strop: 15/65 laps (Ambrose Horsehide Clásico strop) Soapreme: Trumper's "Violet" Shave Creme + Trumper's "Rose" Shave Soap + Glycerin Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose, no alcohol) After Shave/Cologne Splash: Floïd Italian Blue After Shave Balm: Sabon Cologne: Creed "Original Santal" EdT Results: My Thäter brush was to arrive on Friday via USPS, then it changed to yesterday and as of yet, nothing. Let's see if Monday will be any different. Gotta love the reliability of "efficiently" run government programs (classic case of left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing). However, my ritual today was anything but...What a start to this beautiful Sunday with a super relaxing shave. I must say that despite everything life throws at us, it's times like these that remind me that it's great to be a man . The AJ delivered magnificently and the überlather was exceptional to say the least . 2 days of growth wiped to oblivion in no time. My skin feels super soft and smooth, not to mention moisturized.
Have an OUTSTANDING Sunday guys.

PREP: Hot shower RAZOR: Genco Easy Aces BRUSH: Thater SRP 2 band CREAM: Acca Kappa 1869 ASTRINGENT: Thayers ASB: Skinfood EDT: John Varvatos Classic RESULTS: AMAZING!!!!!!! Well what can I sat about this brush that Max hasn't already said. It is a thing of beauty, and made this shave one for the books. It has just the right amount of backbone for my taste, and thaters signature soft tips. The handle fits my hand just right too. Combine it with the steel of the Genco, and I cant be happier. Thanks Max and SRP for arranging this again, and doing all the painstaking work, Much appreciated

Sunday
Razors: Merkur 34C; Kraut & Dohnal 9/16
Blade: Gillette Super Platinum (SP) (1)
Brush: Omega Boar
Soap: TSD Irish Spring Style
A/S: Master Bay Rum
EDT: Drakkar Noir
For the next week or two, I will be doing combo shaves or just using a DE to test a blade that is new to me: Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum (blackish packaging). I was nearly DFS after a WTG and XTG pass with the DE. Had I done one more WTG pass with the DE, I would have had a BBS shave with just the DE. I opted to use a straight for the third pass and wound up with a BBS shave anyway. The Master Bay Rum and Drakkar Noir are one of my favorite weekend combinations and left me smelling wonderful for Sunday morning Mass.

I love that one!!
Blix, once again, you leave me coveting anothers goods!!! Darn you. That razor is stunning. You know how some razors catch your fancy and you just like them better than others, maybe even the same razor with a different suit on? That's this razor. Again, I am envious. !!!!!
MIke-- Any day I get out of bed, and the first thing out of my mouth is not a groan, that's going to be a good day --

Tell me about it and the down side was we had an advent celebration/reception today and I was late/close to it with the shave, damned kids (but we had told him before it's okay on weekends to have longer showers that on week days/mornings ... Lol). Loool, horny indeed
