    Default Birthday shave

    (Oops. Just a wee bit late. Sorry)

    My birthday shave (yesterday)

    6/8's Clauberg Tonsorial Gem
    Some beatup old no-name horsehair brush
    Seagraves mug with a hodgepodge mixture of Williams, Wilkinson, Arko, maybe even some of the old Seagraves, some scraps of Ivory bath soap and a "pea" of lanolin. It has a very faint smell, probably mostly the Arko. And lathers up beautifully.
    Finished up with Pinaud Citrus Musk (in the Lagavulin bottle) and McGraw Southern Blend.

    I had the day off so I had plenty of time for a marvelous 3-pass shave. Regular 8 O'Clock coffee with maple syrup for sweetener, but I'm told there is a Tasimo coffee maker on the way.

    And my daughter took me to see Hugo (a great movie, for all ages).

    All-in-all a good day

    Excellent shave this morning! The Futur had me at DFS in two passes and the straight put me at BBS after the third pass. The Master Topaz provided an nice finish to the shave.
