    Tuesday

    Hello my friends.

I haven’t posted a SOTD for a while as I’ve been rather distraught. One of Bailey’s little friends in the cancer clinic who was diagnosed at the same time as Bailey passed away last week at 4 years of age and I attended the funeral yesterday. Funerals are always sad but when it’s a child it seems so much worse. My daughter asked me to attend to give her support but I’m afraid I was no help at all; I was a blubbering wreck!

To the mundane, though, this morning’s shave was excellent. I’m getting better at shaving my chin (I shaved off my goatee a few days ago). The razor I used this morning did a great job and it was one of the few times I was really BBS all over after two ½ passes (WTG and XTG and a bit of ATG). I may need to send the Klas Törnblom away for sharpening (if I keep it) as I’m not able to get it quite sharp enough to do an ATG beneath the chin.

Talking of chins, I’m trying to keep mine up so to speak but it’s hard, it’s hard...

Since the day we found you
    You have been our friend
    And your voice still
Echoes in the hallway of this house
    But now
    It's the end

    We will be with you
    When you're leaving
    We will be with you
    When you go
    We will be with you
And hold you till you're quiet
It hurts to let you go

    We will be with you
    You will stay with us

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Yeah, sorry to be so emotional, and I know this may not be the place for it, but hey, you're my friends...

    L'Occitane Bavx soap

    Vulfix Persian Musk
    Alum + Propolis
    L'Occitane Bavx Balm
    L'Occitane Cedre L'Atlas

Kinfe, Klotzli Swiss custom knife maker, made a limited run for Spyderco back in the 1990s, the most expensive and sought after Spyderco there is, the Blade is ATS 34, steel the pivot screws and liner lock all made from titanium then blue anodized, the scales are made from the same carbon fibre found on the Sauber Formular 1 car at the time, this knife is part of my collection, it's mint never used sharpened or carried.

    Jamie.

The shave was excellent two pass shave really enjoyable, the Cedre L'Atlas is a super scent, it's difficult to find fault with most of L'Occitane products.

Unfortunately I know how you feel mate. We have seen a handful of kids loose the fight this year. It is one of the most tragic and painful things to witness. My wife REALLY finds it hard.
    Take care brother.

No, no, no misunderstanding, just 'second guessing' myself as I often do. You know, when you think "should I have posted that?" :-)
