Yeah, it is an oasis. My BIL used to go to a 'mens' group', and in a way, I find this forum to be a sort of 'mens' group', there's a lot of camaraderie here :-)

    Carl,

Tears are quite appropriate at a time like that. It is indeed heartrending to bid farewell to a child. They were with us such a short while. But our memory of them is eternal.

    Keep your chin up chief.

    Hello my friends.

I haven’t posted a SOTD for a while as I’ve been rather distraught. One of Bailey’s little friends in the cancer clinic who was diagnosed at the same time as Bailey passed away last week at 4 years of age and I attended the funeral yesterday. Funerals are always sad but when it’s a child it seems so much worse. My daughter asked me to attend to give her support but I’m afraid I was no help at all; I was a blubbering wreck!
    Carl,

I can not even begin to imagine how tough it is and has been for you and your family. I am always happy to read your posts and if it helps to get things off your chest then please, please carry on.

You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Nic
    Regards

Filarmonica | Thäter Bulb | DR Harris Almond + Bomb Rose/Sandalwood | Nivea Sensitive | Carven Vetiver

Forgot about a little place just at the base of the nose where I wasn't quite sure yesterday if I nicked myself as I never got any blood. Today confirmed it. As soon as I went to do my first under the nose pass, I felt a sharp pain and blood started flowing but good. Thankfully I was only planning to do a single pass, but even that was uncomfortable with the sharp stinging under my nose! The Fili is amazing and it did a darn fine job with just a single pass. The new bulb Thäter performed flawlessly. It whipped up mounds of incredible lather. I hated to waste it, but it was so thick that when I went to rinse the lather bowl, it all slid out in a large piece and floated on the water like an iceberg.

    Have a great day gentlemen!

Thanks Nic. My posts do allow me to accommodate my suppressed literary needs a little too (i.e. they're rather verbose). Yeah, it does help me to get things off my chest, I don't have a lot of people to talk to, I'm a bit of a solitary person.

I'm sorry to hear of this Carl. Thanks for sharing and hang in there buddy. My soon to be 3 year old daughter says a prayer for Bailey, Jackie, & all the sick kids every night. I think I'm going to go waker her up and give her a hug.
