Post Week of December 4 SOTD - Tuesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 26mm Thäter, 2-band (SRP 2011) Silvertip Badger
Maxtom: 15/16" Max Sprecher Custom, 1/4 Hollow Ground, French Point (w/ Makume Gane scales)
Strop: 10/60 laps (Ambrose Horsehide Clásico strop)
Soapreme: TOBS "Lavender" Shave Creme + Martin de Candre Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue
After Shave Balm: Al's "Lavender" (light) ASB
Cologne: Martin de Candre "Eau de Lavande" EdT
Results: I finally received my Thäter brush yesterday and gave it a nice shampoo/cleaning . And what better way to inaugurate her maiden voyage than with the "Best of the Best". The soft bristles made some scrumptious lather out of the TOBS/MdC combo and the prep felt unconditionally fantastic to the skin. I can confidently say that this Thäter is probably the best brush in my collection. The ergonomics are just spot on (way to go with the design Max). I literally spent 3 minutes on my face for the first pass. What a beautiful and lovely shave. The Maxtom did what the Maxtom was designed to do, i.e., eliminate pesky little whiskers with effortless ease and zero discomfort. I am ready to be seen in public again.

    Have a TERRIFIC Tuesday fellas.

I'm confused, did you like the brush?

nicknbleeding, sharp and amb like this.
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

One day I will have to learn to take a picture of a razor that doesnt look like crap.... so for now - I am text-based

    Today's shave - 6th day in a row

Dovo 6/8 Best Quality (12 laps on webbing / 50 on leather)
    Badger Brush
Palmolive Shave Stick (grated into a bowl)
    Thayer's
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS
    Aqua Velva Ice Balm
    L'Occitane de Provence Vetyver Cologne

Very nice shave today - maybe a tad too much pressure on my cheeks, but heck, I'm still a noob!!!

    Barry
