    Default Tuesday

    Pre-Shave: Hot shower
    Brush: Simpson Chubby 1
    Razor: Revisor 13/16
Strop: 40/60 Neil Miller Linen/English Bridle
Soap: Scottish Fine Classic Male Grooming Shave Soap
    After shave: D.R. Harris Sandalwood
Results: Found this soap in a local store today, the scent is quite nice, but I'm not convinced about it's performance after first try, need to test it some more, maybe I didn't get the product/water ratio right? Other than that the shave was quite nice, the Revisor is a great razor, I could probably have a dry face and still get a good shave from it.

Need help or tutoring? Check out the  .

I wasn't going to post today because I've been somewhat busy, but I had my first BBS shave with just a straight this morning so I just had to share!

This Japanese Almond 13/16 razor is such a pleasure to use. Sometimes with a good blade you can get an extremely close shave and sometimes you can get an extremely comfortable shave but rarely do you get extremes of closeness and comfort at same time. This razor does it every time and seemingly with no effort. The Thäter also performed flawlessly in applying the Fitjar. Just thinking about the experience gives me a tingle up my leg!

Went to my barber-Frank-for shave today: lost count at 10 hot towels-sweeeeet and smooooooth.
He used Proraso and told me he was confused when he first saw Proraso soap/cream as it
    was first a pre-shave. Pro=pre, Raso=lather. Great tidbit.

    Tues, Dec 20
    Brush: Omega Boar
    Soap/Creme: Cella
    Razor:Gillette Old
    Blade: Astra SS
    Pre: Shower&glycerin soap wash
    Post: Witch hazel
    Hair Groom: Clubman Conditioning Shampoo
Result: WOW! I will admit that putting a fresh blade in a gillette old, doing good prep, and using boar+ Cella for lather is stacking the deck, but this was my first shave with an Astra SS. I've used and been very fond of their SP, but the only word for the Astra SS is WOW. I got nearly BBS without even trying. The Astra SS felt like it cut my whiskers better even than a feather. the Clubman seemed to do a great ob on my hair, as well. I didn't even use anything else it was so stellar.
