    Tuesday

Had a blast slicing off four days' growth after a fun - though unsuccessful - hunting trip with some SRP members this weekend. This lovely no-name razor from Bechon, France always gives a great shave!

Bechon 173 "Rasoir Aimante" (Magnetic Razor) 6/8" | Saint Charles Shave Soap
D.R. Harris Arlington Aftershave Splash | Kent BLK~2 Brush

    Happy Holidays!

    Tuesday

Second shave with a razor honed by me: the "Italian Shave"

    Prep: Conditioner in shower
Razor: Morley Clover Hollow Ground 5/8 (15 webbing / 50 leather)
Brush: Golden Nib 22mm Finest in an old Eveready handle
    Cream: Omega
Post: Thayer's, Proraso AS, Nivea Sensitive ASB, Alvaro Pino cologne

    Pretty much all Italian today

I honed this razor on a Norton 4k / 8k combo, followed by a few laps on a Swaty hone. I had an AWFUL shave with it Saturday: super irrutated, red face, sore neck. After some advice here, I pasted up some balsa wood with Dovo red and black pastes, and did about 15 laps on each. I stropped carefully this morning, and had a much better time with the razor today. A nice, close comfy shave.

Way to not give up Barry!! I've been fighting a similar battle. I've been trying to shave with razors I have honed myself. I have about a 33% success ratio!! But I'm not giving up!!!!

    Keep up the battle bro!!

My first go at a wedge. Not too shabby. I do kind of miss the feedback of my hollows. That said I'm happy for the purchase. Can't wait to try it on a couple day growth.

I love bounce back days like today. great shave and great scent. Lime with sandalwood was way nicer then I thought it would be. The vetiver cologne topped it off nicely. Have a great day all!
