Sunday
Dovo Best Quality 6/8
Menu-U Boar brush
Tabac
Master Bay Rum
Drakkar Noir
I actually shaved this morning before Church, but we had our youngest two daughters baptized this afternoon so I'm just getting around to posting now. Great shave with the Dovo this morning! BBS in 2.5 passes (just did the jaw, neck, and chin on the last pass). It's almost 12 hours after the shave and I still have very little stubble. The Master Bay Rum and the Drakkar Noir have been my Sunday favorite for some time now!

Early Monday Morning
Dovo Prima Silver Steel
Penhaligan's English Fern Soap
Simpson 57
Alum
Old Spice Whitewater
A close comfortable shave, this Dovo is awesome. My 1st use of English Fern and not 100% successful, oddly the lather was exiting the brush from the base in a way that I don't usually find. I think this soap may be best suited to bowl lathering than face lathering. I shall persist though as having palm lathered to get the right consistency it was great.Regards

I made the scales for a good friend for Xmas. He's a big hockey player. I got my hands on an old hockey stick and it turned out to be pretty good scale material. Got the razor honed...finally and took her for a run "around the rink!"
Made an Uberlather from MWF and TOBS Sandalwood.....good stuff!

Sun, Dec 18
Brush: Vie-Long Horse
Soap/Creme: Arko
Razor: Gillette Old
Blade: Gillette Goal
Pre: Shower & glycerin soap
Post: Witch Hazel
Hair Groom: just the conditioners from wildroot Shampoo
Result: The Arko and vie-long horse made a great lather together, once again. It really was especially rich and protective. it remained slow to make, but with results that really were first rate. The Gillette Goal in the actual Old style seemed a little better, but still was a pretty middling blade, especially by the end, where it was tugging quite a bit on my atg pass. I've had decent results with the blade in other razors, but it has disappointed pretty thoroughly in my open combs.
