Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: Simpson Chubby 1 Razor: ERN Crown & Sword 7/8 Honing Regimen: Naniwa SS 1-3-8-12K, CrOx Strop: 100/100 Neil Miller Linen/English Bridle Soap/Cream: Dovo Eucalyptus After shave: Mennen Skin Bracer Results: Finished up this baby yesterday, cleaned her, gave her a brand new dress made of red G10 and honed her up on the Naniwas. The Dovo "cream" (read: Soap) lathered up pretty easily despite what I've heard about it, and after this shave I can truly say I understand why these razors got their reputation, she took a wonderfully sharp and smooth edge giving a spledid two-pass DFS++ shave.

Not sure if this one is nos but the blueing is in perfect condition. I decided to go with Bath house Spanish Fig & Nutmeg. What a wonderful earthy scent. The edge needs to be dialed in a little more. Seems to be a thing with me and the C-Mon's. Usualy wants a 2nd round with the stones. Not sure how far back i want to take it.

So the wife is on call this week and with her luck got called in her first night leaving me alone with the 2 boys and dogs. Well the boys went down and dogs are sprawled out on my bed so I think to myself...I haven't had a quiet minute to myself like this in I can't remember how long! So aside from catching up on posts and seeing y'all sweet hardward for the day I figured I'd test drive a referb razor I picked up from Havitz81.
Prep: Jack Black Double Duty Moisturizer about 30-45 min Before a Few Hot Towels to The Face
Brush: SRD Design #2
Lather: Speik Men + Prarie Creations Cedar Wood + Glycerin

Results: Not used to shaving without 1st showering but sometimes its nice to change things up a bit. The Green Lizard is a great razor and I'm glad I've added it to my rotation. DFS in 2 passes with a few spots to touch up. Now some time to veg on the couch till SWMBO returns.
On a side note I can't believe that its almost 2012,where the deuce did 2011 go

No time for a pic tonight, so you will just have to use your imaginations!!
Prep: Hot Shower / Hot Towel / Hot Towel between passes
Brush: 24mm Silvertip
Lather: TOBS Eton College Collection - who needs to Uber when you can have TOBS???
Razor: 6/8 Clauss from Rene
Hones: Sadly, right out of the box, I lost control of the razor and dinged the edge with a finger nail. I had to work it on several stones to get the edge unrolled and smoothed again. I finished on the felt and Leather, and in the process nicked my strop as well. Just not a good overall night. I was the most sad because I lost the real essence of Rene's edge, which I was dying to try.
AS: English Leather Original
EdC: English Leather Black
Result: Smooth.. for my 4th straight day shaving my face has managed better than ever before. No burns, no nicks or cuts, no sting from the Alum, and nothing from the AS. BUT! now is the time to let it recover, and I think I will have to take a day or two off and let it rest.
Happy Shaving!!!
