Prep: Hot Shower, Baby Oil Gel
    Razor: Friedmann and Lauterjung "Electric"
    Brush: Semogue 1305
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    AS: Aqua Velva Classic
Finish: Murray and Lanman's Florida Water

This is definitely the best shaving "Electric" razor I've ever seen. Ever have one of those mornings when you slept late and were running terribly late but just weren't all that inclined to give a damn?

Not the best. After almost a week shaving with the a cartridge, I feel as though I took a step back. A couple nicks on the upper lip and not the smoothest thing ever. Also may need to touch up the Dovo, as I felt like I was forcing the issue a bit.

    Mike,
Great score from Rene. She's a beautiful blade, but ouuuch...what a "close" maiden voyage she must have had. I am glad that nothing major happened to her. You were lucky in that regard buddy.

Cartridge shaving does a number on your skin (especially after several days of use)...Even the best technique, razor and prep will have a hard time reversing that overnight. Give your skin a break for a couple of days and go at it again...You will feel reborn and refreshed, guaranteed.

Thanks for asking Robert, the road to recovery is a slow but sure one, taking it easy one day at a time.

    Regards Jamie

sun-tues for me were travel days...

    Razor: 1950s Superspeed Flairtip
    Blade: Astra SP
    Soap/Creme: arko
    Brush: omega Boar
    pre: shower
    Post: a dab of nivea
Groom: just some conditioner ( next time I bring some. I missed it).

Decent shaves with my travel kit while I was away from home. The kit may not be quite as luxurious or varied as my usual, but it all performs very well. My only real regret is that I just don't get as rich a lather facelathering as bowl lathering, so I may tweak that aspect a bit next time I am not home. Well that and missing my classic hair grooms.
