Thanked: 1185That would be the combination Coarse/Fine whetstone from Ace Hardware in Largo, Florida. I bought it about 3 years ago to use until I could afford a 4K/8K. Turns out it does the job just fine so I just never bothered to replace it. Not pretty not fancy but totally effective.

Pre-Shave: Hot towels Brush: Simpson Chubby 1 Razor: Flaschner 7/8 Honing Regimen: Chosera 1K - Naniwa SS 3/8/12K - Vintage Thuri Strop: 100/100 Neil Miller Linen/Kanayama Cordovan Soap: Tabac After shave: Tabac Results: Spent a few hours honing today, and test shaving this Flaschner I honed for a friend at B&B, got a pretty nice edge on her, giving a nice and close shave but I''m not sure the Thuri is the right finisher for this razor, I think I will try another one and see if it can tweak it a little bit more.

Thanks for the tips guys, I have a few different finishers myself, and with Blix just up the road....well, let's just say there's a lot of possibilities
I'm sure he will Bill, when he sent it to me it didn't shave at all, but I won't send back a razor where I'm not 110% satisfied with the edgeNeed help or tutoring? Check out the .
