The rumors of Williams being so hard to lather doesn't seem to be true for me, it works just fine! The photo is taken after the shave.

Thanked: 485Thursday
AUSTRALIA day today and I’ve organised a recreation leave day for tomorrow, so a long weekend for me. It’ll be taken up with helping my two eldest kids move into new houses, but a BBQ this arvo might be nice, and maybe a visit to the local pool on the weekend or EVEN camping.
I got the Klas Törnblom out this morning and was shocked to see the RP7 I’d put on the blade and pivot the other day hadn’t done it much good. I think I’ll need to get some jeweller’s polish.
I put a little bit of hot water into the Proraso soap container as I showered, like I do with my other soap (Crabtree and Evelyne). I’d never done this with Proraso and it improved it greatly. I soaked the brush as normal but really shook it well before swirling and the resulting lather was really quite oomphy. CSG, AxelH, Ryan82 and WeirdBob (and others) had a conversation about this on another thread here the other day; and their ideas and comments really helped. We never stop learning, do we?
Oh, BTW, the Vegemite has NOTHING to do with shaving, but EVERYTHING to do with Australia…
Razor: Klas Törnblom Pre Shave: Proraso Cream: Proraso ASB: Proraso After Shave: None

Wednesday Night
Unbranded shoulderless 6/8 Silver Steel
Omega Boar
Nanny's Sandalwood
Alum
Tabac ASL
Awesome! This razor was always a good shaver but its been used enough to warrant a touch up. So a few laps on my Naniwa 12K and a good stropping and it was better than ever! So close and comfortable, I barely felt the alum pass over my face. I'm enjoying the Tabac too, which I've been neglecting lately.Last edited by Jeltz; 01-26-2012 at 12:37 AM.
