Made a nice uberlather from TOBS Sandalwood, MB Ye Olde Barbershop and Lanolin. Unfortunately the 1000, I realized mid-shave, needs to hit the rocks again. My face still feels magnificent though!

Today's shave was welcome after a long, cold day on the water

Long hot shower, Stephan's rubbed into the whiskers
    Warm Oil
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    Badger Brush
Nancy Boy Cucumber Shave Cream, glycerine
    7/8 Corvette Extra
    Strop, 50 linen, 50 leather
    RazoRock Aluminum
    Pinaud Bay Rum AS
    Vaseline for men

Had to work on/near the Hudson River today. The view is great both across the river and on the shore. It was cold and windy but after a few hours, some hot soup was in order.
Arrived home and decided to shower and shave before class this evening. The only thing I can say is SPECTACULAR!!!! The shave was just spectacular in every way: The warm oil and lather on my skin felt wonderful as the Corvette mowed the whiskers down. I used the warm oil on each of three passes which made my skin feel great.

    Spectacular

Wade & Butcher "Adamantine Edge", Wedge, Barber's Notch

It is my brother from a different mother... here are my two "Adamantine Edge" Tally Ho! by F. Fenney, wedge with barber's notch. The 7/8 no longer has the etching, but came with the nice box. The 13/16 still has its beautiful etchings. Nice blade, Robert!!

This is my first SOTD post ever! A very special shave so I had to share.

This shave was so special for several reasons (I'm going to do a write up on this tomorrow in another section of the forum). My Fiance bought be a custom from Max for Christmas this year. As if that gift wasn't already perfect - I also happen to live just down the road from Max. What does this mean? I got to actually visit Max in his workshop and watch my razor being built from start to finish. So not only was this special because this razor was a gift, it was special because I feel a lot more connection with this razor than any of my others because I remember when she was just a blank of steel. I think I now know what it's like to have a child.

Needless to say the shave was amazing. Just off the hones from Max's house (he finished it up just a few hours ago). Although, my ears are very afraid of this razor and it's wicked slant point.

Max Sprecher Custom 7/8 in Mokume Gane
Crabtree and Evelyn Nomad cream (gift #2 from my Fiance)
    SRP Thater 2 band
John Varvatos (Last year's Christmas gift from my Fiance)

(Please excuse my photography skills, I'm using an iPhone 4S. Max will be flipping over his chair when he sees these photos.)
