PREP: Hot shower with Mr GLO
RAZOR: Merkur Slant
BLADE: Feather
BRUSH: Simpson Chubby 2
SOAP: Klar Seifen Sandalwood
ASTRINGENT: Thayers
ASB: Razorock
EDT: Noir
RESULTS: GREAT WAY TO START MY MORNING
Nice shave today. Took the slant out for a spin and it dint disappoint. The Klar Seifen I got awhile back as a scratch and dent, but it has become a top contender with all my soaps. Its easy to lather, the smell of Sandalwood is intoxicating, and the lather and slickness is much like La toja. Paired with the woodsy Razorock and some NOIR cologne and I am happy camper.
It seems I have not used straights in a while due to me parting ways with a lot of them, to make room for the 2 dozen or so restorations I have upon me, but will be finishing up one this week, so hopefully I can return to the Straight razor shave.
Have a great Sunday guys

Sunday Shave:
Long, hot shower with Stephan's rubbed well into the whiskers as I lingered and ran down all 80 gallons of hot water. Refreshing!!!
Warm Oil
Dirty Bird Scuttle
Custom Badger Brush
Castle Forbes Lavender Shave cream
Max Sprecher Custom, 7/8, 1/4 hollow, pink wedge, carved spine, Barber's notch, Black Linen Micarta.
SRD Premium 1 Strop, 50 linen, 75 leather
RazoRock Aluminum
Stephan's Lilac After Shave
Vaseline for men
Early morning at Starbucks, chat with Bill (Legalbeagal), home for breakfast and then shopping with SWMBO. Home to relax watching "Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man." I decided to shower and shave about 2ish. Took a very long shower since both girls are away and SWMBO was reading.
Had not shaved since Thursday evening so I had a really heavy growth which I am dismayed to admit is mostly gray these days. SWMBO says it goes well with my dark hair, looks distinguished. They always seem to know what to say......
Anyway the razor just knocked off the whiskers after which the wife was shocked at how smooth my skin was. After a quick BBT which was passed, I made coffee and here I sit.
Enjoy the rest of the day.

Thank you Rune...My wife will always be #1 in my book. No project or work (however compelling) can come between us. Fortunately for me, she is 100% behind me in my endeavor and doesn't feel left out. She is actually my sounding board and my reality check as well (from a consumer stand point)

Happy Sunday to the SOTD regulars. Hands are still spollen from the RA flare so I'm sticking to the DE till I get past this. Luckily this is only the 1st flare I've had since last winter when we were living in CT. At least this time I still CAN shave, in the past these flares were so bad I couldn't use my hands to do much of anything. Hell I couldn't even get my wedding band on my finger for almost 8 months if that's any indication how bad they were. Enough with the bad memories and on to today's shave!
Prep: Hot Shower + Woody's Exfoliating Pre Shave Wash + Musgo Pre Shave Oil
Scuttle: G5
Brush: Jack Black Synthetic
Suds: RazoRock XXX + Williams (dug it out of my soap drawer) + glycerin
Razor: IKON SK9 + SuperMax Super Platinum (2)
Post: Alum + WH
AS: Floid Blue
Results: good all around shave. bush seems a bit better than it was with the Cade and MDC, go figure!!!! haven't used Williams since I can't remember when so when I accidently pulled it from the drawer it was a no brainer that I was going to use it today.
Wishing y'all a better week than the last one!!! Shave on!
