eTom, your tag line reminded me of the time we had a contest to see who could write the best poem in PERL that actually would compile. It was great fun!! In that case, code really was poetry!! LOL

PS, I really like the Terrier cufflinks, i've always owned Terriers all my life, my favourite Dog.

Cool, looking at it I thought it might be turned on a lathe. Is it aluminium or steel? I have no idea about these sorts of things, last time I used a lathe was in High School, and I was shit scared of the thing...

I've never had a Terrier, but I've had a Bull Mastiff/Bull Terrier cross (and insane, evil dog), a German Short Haired Pointer (used to eat beer bottles), a Red Heeler Cross (another insane dog), a Cocker Spaniel (completely insane, destroyed the house), a Jack Russell cross (ate the chickens), and now I have a Dalmatian, a Papillon, a Bichon frise/cross Maltese and a Pomeranian cross Chihuahua.

As you can see, I like dogs. Like the Pearl Jam song says, I'd rather be with an animal...

    Thursday, thursday, thursday, thursday (sigh)

Oh my goodness. One of THOSE days. Anyway…

Shave was excellent. Used the Burrell Top Flight. A very f’n under rated razor in my HUMBLE f’n opinion. The 5/8 full hollow grind adds the sense of hearing to a shave’s joys. I toyed with the Faulding’s shave cream. It started to look good and then went thin; maybe too much water? I guess if I’d added some glycerine it would have oomphed up; but I went with it as it was. Might give it another whirl on the morrow? I like the scent; this is the cream I used in the army and quite consistently thereafter.

You know, stupid, slightly mad me was lying in bed last night trying to remember what shaving was like for me in the 'pre-SR era'. I used a cream (as stated), and lathered with a supermarket brush in my cupped hand. Of course using a Bic plastic piece of shit meant it didn’t need to be a GOOD lather; sometimes I didn’t even USE a lather! I actually considered doing it once more, just to remind myself of how BAD it was (and that’s BAD as in POOR, not as in BAD ass!).

(Sorry for all the swearing; feeling somewhat aggressive today, must be the hormones being kicked along by the gym workouts or maybe a nearing 50 thing???)

    Razor: Burrell Top Flight
    Pre Shave: Proraso
    Shave Cream : Faulding’s ‘Shave’
    After Shave: Clubman
Cufflinks of the Day: Slightly-boring-but-classic Antique silver
