Honed this razor two days ago on Nortons followed by 12 naniwa. Bevel had a polish that I will now refer to as "White Lightning". No stropping, I shaved right off the stone.

At first I thought something was wrong because I couldn't feel any feedback from the razor. But it was effortlessly wiping the hair off my face. Shaved everywhere except for a small touch up on my adams apple with a DE. Smooth all day. Light razor burn but worth it.

A quick and relatively easy one this morning. Life has been insanely busy, so my Noob Chronicle and even the frequency of my shaves have both been sporadic. Hopefully things will calm down to more normal levels, though with the upcoming addition of a new member of the family, that isn't likely.

This week we got the "all clear" from the doctor and so I'd like to announce that SWMBO is now 13 weeks pregnant with #2! Hopefully all goes well.

Default What A Great Shave for Wednesday!

    Razor: Friodur 78 1/2 4/8" Inox
Soap: I took a friends advice and lathered with Barbasol while in the shower, after washing my head, and while I tidy'ed up the other bits and pieces just left the lather on my face for probably a good 10 minutes. After the Shower, I rubbed in some Rise Baby Face Gel and left that while I prepared everything else. Then I put some Cella, some Sir Irisch Moos and a touch of Speick together in my giant lather bowl and worked it up with a Brush full of water.
    Brush: 26mm WhippedDog Silvertip
    AS: Speick
    EdT: Cuba Gold

Thank you Rene for the best shave I have had in weeks. That Friodur shaves away whiskers like they were butter. The shave prep must have paid off, cuz 2 days worth of stubble disappeared in literally one pass. I only had to do a second ATG and my face was clean. The Alum left almost no feedback and the Spieck was wonderful AS.

And to think I almost sold that razor cuz I just could not get a good shave off it anymore. So, again, Thank You Rene!!
