Prep: Hot Shower / Rise Baby Face Gel on 2nd pass
Razor: 6/8 G&F Timor Hamburg Ring fresh off the hones
    Hones: King 800, King 1k, Norton 4/8k, 150 laps Cnat with slurry, 5 Diamond, 10 CrOx, 100 felt, 100 Horsehide, 100 Chestnut
    Brush: 24mm Silvertip From Whippeddog
Uber: Tabac + 4 drops Glycerine
AS: Alum Block + Pinaud Lilac Vegetal
    Edc: Canoe
Result: This is the maiden shave for this razor, bought new last November. After months of trying to get a bevel set, seriously at least 10 tries due to a slightly warped grind on one side, the rolling X's came through! I was able to get it set, hone it to shave ready on the 8k and got brave before bedtime last night and polished it a little more on the Cnat. It shaved as good as any razor I have honed yet. The alum tells the tale and it was the same sting I get from my best blades. The vegetal is growing on me slowly so I keep trying it. The Canoe is a great scent that seems to go with the Vegetal scent very well.

I have some Hungarian in my background, so it is cool to learn about this. My paternal grandmother's maiden name was Mihalko.

    Bela,

That's a beautiful blade as well as shaving setup to celebrate your nation's holiday.

Excuse my ignorance, but what national holiday is it?

Thank you my friend! Rudi Stehlo is also Hungarian. Therefore, I chose his razor today. He lives in Solingen, but he is very ill and not working. Here's a last photo with her:

About hungarian national holiday -, marth 15th - you can read more here.
