Bela, Happy "H" day. Hope you enjoyed it.

    Hot Shower,Stephan's,warm oil
    Dirty Bird Scuttle
    Custom Badger by Tim (Tumtatty)
Truefitt & Hill Almond Shave Cream
Wade and Butcher, 9/8, Barber's Use
    SRP Premium 1, 50 felt 50 leather

I already had a badger brush turned by Tim so when I saw another one available, I grabbed it. Great craftsmanship, it fits in my hand nicely. When I got the big W&B I was afraid of its size. After a few shaves, I realized what a great shave it gives: effortless, clean and smooth.

After doing 12-14 hour days for the last several weeks, I really enjoy the shaves at the end of the day.

I am always amazed at how such a big blade can be so nice on the skin.

    Been away too long....

Daughter and I were sick for a month and I am just now back to 100%. Little stinker brings home every bug she comes across...

    ok to the fun part!

Just got a geodecke #14 (to replace the magnetic 14 I traded to Leon for a Schulze) which feels like 7/8+ but I havent measured it. Won it on the Bay for a song. Hit the 800/4k King combo took a great bevel. To the 6k king and 8k king. Then to the Coticule with a hazy slurry, then water. Finally a couple strokes on the c12k.
5 laps on the CrOx hard felt, 30 laps on premium cotton, 60 on horse butt.

    Time for a test run.

Was in the mood for my Omega and a menthol bomb so my gear

    Soap: Proraso+Co. Bigelow+ glycerin
    brush: Omega 48
    razor: Geodecke 14
    post: alum then witch hazel
as Dominicana bay rum with lime

result: Every time I try a new blade I get a case of the weepers. Not nicks, just annoying little reminder's that I am not familiar with that blade yet. Alum went on with no fire, just a mild tingle. Bay rum was tamed. BBS shave achieved. Proud that I took the edge from butter knife to shaving implement. Diggin the new 14

    Friday

I haven’t posted a SOTD photo all week because my internet has been slowed and it takes ages to upload a photo...

This morning’s shave was with the Schulze, the best razor I have for a really close two pass shave; very manoeuvrable and light.

I used the last of the Trafalgar cream; this was one of the first ‘real’ creams I bought when I started SR shaving so it’s lasted 9 months in rotation with maybe six or seven more soaps and creams. I’d really like to buy this cream again (this time in a tub) as I really like the way it lathers and the scent.

Trafalgar after shave lingers all day, and it feels nice on the skin too. One of the best scents for the cooler seasons with a real citrus ‘bounce’.

The Burberry ‘Beat’ Eau De Cologne complimented the Trafalgar well…
