First time with a Friodur, it was a very good performer. Not my top performer (my DD Wonderedge) but certainly very good, plus the fact that it looks so cool helps its case. Good days always start off with Floid Amber, love that stuff. Back to work tomorrow, men. Have a good week everyone

Yep, I dedicated a shave to him last Sun after checking in on him. Seems to be doing fine, but busy with new job. Gotta be more to life than this forum too. I wish him the best! A Great guy! He will be back!

Excellent shave this morning. I ran the De Pews over the Norton 8 and Shapton 16 k yesterday and found the edge to be much improved this morning. Even though this razor is a bit of a bugger to hone I’m getting used to its foibles.
I’m pretty much addicted to the Top Secret cream, and also the Ach Brito Lavanda aftershave. Both are really nice to use. The scent of the Top Secret cream is nothing to write home about but its performance is excellent. I’m really starting to realise that price has pretty much no correlation to quality as far as shaving cream goes. I’ll get some Lavanda shave cream next, it’s only 2.79 Euros, and there’s an even cheaper cream on the site I got this from, being "Via Men", that at 1.75 Euros I can’t resist trying. I may also try the Veleiro at 4.49.
On a depressing note I could only manage a few body weight dips at the gym tonight at the end of my chest and triceps workout. It’s incredible that at almost 50 1 week away from the gym (due to a bodgy knee) results in so much lost strength. One really needs to maintain exercise much more consistently as one ages…
Oh, BTW, I’m moving away from creams etc containing Parabens. I realise the jury is still out on its health effects, but I’m erring on the side of caution. This means Proraso products (though I like them very much) need to make way for something else. Anyone know of a good pre-shave cream that is Paraben free?

What a shave. I hadn't put a blade to my face since Thursday, so I was looking forward to this one. The AK is a wonderful cream, and it whipped up some brilliant lather. The EPBD still holds the edge my friend Birnando put on it, which is to say it is very sharp and incredibly smooth!
