David, you cannot help but comment, it is just in your nature, isn't it? Your our second bladerunner now, aren't you!!

You were part of the reason I went to the other site, and I just read your post today. Their loss is our gain, and I for one am glad you are on board with us.

Thanks for being part of our SOTD!!

How do you go stropping that? I find my Törnblom a little difficult to strop because of the very thin ivory scales; I'm always worried I'll break them...

Interesting point; I don't normally read much in the morning as time is precious for not being (very) late in the office, but certainly I do get the chance to flick through a couple of newspapers (WSJ and The Guardian usually) in my iPad. Nothing beats the flair & feeling of holding a printed book in your hands, of course...

    jrabi,

Yes it is, with a French point. It's the only French point razor that I own.

    Shave prep: Face wash
Brush: Custom 28mm silvertip in wood and horn
    Soap: Martin de Candre Perle
    Scuttle: Robert Becker extra large
    Razor: C. W. Dahlgren, 7/8 wedge barber's notch
    Strop: nun2sharp's hanging leather strop
After Shave Splash: English leather home made splash
Notes: Decided this was an MdC day, so I dug out my large silvertip and whipped up some nice warm lather in my scuttle. Gave the old Dahlgren a good stropping, and wiped the stubble off my mug effortlessly. Comfortable and relaxing shave, they should all be this great.
