Yes, we really should have spring by now and we had it a couple of days ago . Yesterday you couldn't see these guys, but today the sun's working wonders and it looks like this in our backyard now (all the snow was gone three to four weeks ago and I thought it was over for this time, but now we have lots of snow behind our house again ):
That's a cool photo! It must be amazing to see bulbs come through the snow like that! here in Australia we actually put our bulbs in the fridge (refrigerator) for a few weeks before we plant them to simulate the temperature change. We also have to dig some types up in early summer otherwise they cook in the soil.

    Monday

Excellent shave this morning, one pass only. Excellent lather. Excellent After Shave. Excellent all ‘round.

I’ve been thinking about an 8mm silent movie night on the weekend.

Also listening to System of a Down. I haven’t listened to one of their albums for ages. ‘Toxicity’ is such a great album, great angry workout music…

    Razor Schulze Wiener Schaber
Pre Shave: Sukin Facial Moisturiser Cream
    Shave Cream: Top Secret
    After Shave: Floïd

I got a wild hair and decided it was time to go back to my wet shaving "roots." Acqua di Parma was the first shaving cream I started with (before I found the shaving forums). I know now that I had no clue what I was doing because I never really learned how to build a lather, I just took a wet brush, rubbed it across the tub and then smeared it on my face without doing any really building... So, this past weekend, I picked up a tub of it and some of their Balsamo ASB. I'd only used the standard Collezioni Barbierie ASB previously. This one is nice and light. I finished off with the standard AdP Colonia. I think I prefer the Colonia Assoluta, but overall I'm feeling sticky smooth and smelling great!

Also, I thought I might relate a bright spot from finally getting to sit down and relax last night: 24 oz of home-brewed India Pale Ale.

    Monday

Prep: Hot Shower/ Proraso pre-post creme
    Brush: Thater 4125-2
    Scuttle: G5
    Soap: Proraso SS
Razor: FWE "Perfect Temper" 9/16 square point
    Post: Proraso AS/ Nivea Lotion
Result: This is one of the smaller razor in my collection. I also have the same razor in 6/8". This was always a challenge to hone because of a warp in the blade, but I got it dialed in and had a great 3 pass shave this warm spring morning.

    Happy Belated Birthday Carl!

    Have a Great Monday Gents!
