Same here...Congratulations on your grandson's birthday. Children are a blessing and each year they are with us is a blessing as well.

As for your elder son and his family.... It looks like you can barely hold back the tears in the photo. But think of the good that may result from his decision.

It may unlock a golden opportunity that will result in unexpected rewards--both to him as well as you.

    Take care, my friend.

It's been a weird week for razors. I spent most of the month assuming I wouldn't get anything, and now I suddenly find it's raining razors. What better way to celebrate than shaving, eh?

    Preshave: Hot shower.
Cream: Al's Da Bomb, Calypso (working my way through a sampler pack to find what I love best -- damn, they're all good!)
    Brush: Omega Pure Tasso
Razor: 1956 stainless steel труд вача surgical razor, thank you Andrey! (Bonbon on SRP)
Post-shave: Pat-dry and marvel at the lack of whiskers!

    Default Wednesday

    My shaving Wednesday afternoon:

    Prep Floïd preshave oil
    Brush Semogue 1438
    Soap Crabtree & Evelyn Nomad
    Razor Dovo Special 6/8"
Post Thayers unscented + Myrsol emulsión
    AS TOBS Bay Rum

Good shave today. The Nomad and the Semogue 1438 brush make a wonderful couple. The foam is very spongy, hydrated and aromatic and the razor glides very well and shave without any complications.
    The post, wonderful.

    Regards. Saludos
    José Luis

Bela (If I may call you that sir), I hope all works out for your family. It's rediculous that we, as Americans, think that our econmy is in tatters. We wear blinders to the rest of the world. I hope for your sake that Europe can find a way out of debt.

And congratulations Bill (again, if I may).

    Warm Shower, Stephan's Warm Oil
    AOS Sandalwood Shave Soap
    Badger brush
    Puma, 5/8
    Thayer's Lemon AS
    Vaseline for men

Tonight I face lathered as I used to do for many years. I did not realize how warm the scuttle actually keeps the lather. Nice, quick shave tonight.

Bela, I am sorry your family had to move away. I know the feeling as my two girls are now away from home most of the time. I wish them the best of luck and good health.

    Bela,

May God speed you son's family to a bright future in Nepal, and bring you comfort until you see them again.

carbide stone then stropped on canvas & leather
Face lather with AOS cream & badger brush

    AOS balm
    RSVP Cologne
    DFS :-)
