Well its been a few weeks since my last SOTD post. Life brings along the way some distractions and there have been a truck load recently, some of which I could well do without but you've got to take the rough with the smooth.
Anyway things are settling down and so I'm hoping to contribute a little more regularly again. I've included some cherry blossom in todays picture to mark the Spring albeit that the blossom was detached from the trees here by heavy rain and wind but summer is on its way, or at least it better be!
Today was also my 1st usage with the FS Synthetic brush, early days but I must say I was impressed.
Have a great week gentlemen.

Thanked: 485Monday
Off to work today. It’s lucky I’m a simplistic soul and a nice shave and nice after shave lotion can please me. Wouldn’t it be terrible if one couldn’t find simple joy in such simple things?
I gave all my razors ten to fifteen laps on the Shapton 16k yesterday, just for a bit of a touch up. I didn’t strop them after honing like I normally do, mainly ‘cause I couldn’t be stuffed stropping five razors. I generally do my normal regime of 30/70 after honing and again prior to a shave, but this time I’ll only strop prior to the shave. The difference will probably be indiscernible.
Today saw the last or the Proraso pre-shave cream. I’ll use Sukin facial moisturising cream for a while until I get some more Proraso, as I have a list of interesting creams and aftershaves I want to get first. It seems that there’s always at least two to three items on the list…
Hope you’re all having a happy peaceful week so far…
Oh...that's a glass of mead for the evening in the picture, it's quite nice! (I take my photos at night when I get home from work)
