Thanked: 154Tuesday:
-------------
Prep: Warm water splash
Brush: Hand-turned acrylic badger, made as a gift for me by a good friend
Lather: Williams, in enameled tin mug
Razor: Dovo #41
Aftershave: AOS balm
Finish: RSVP Cologne
Busy morning so had a quick once-over shave to get ready for work. It actually was a quite pleasant shave nonetheless; it helped slow me down and get in a good frame of mind before braving the roads on this rainy day.
Take care all and have great day,
Jeff

My first full shave with the straight. I've been shaving every few evenings with it for about 4 weeks now. A little on the left, then a little on the right the next time, then try the neck...etc. Went for two full passes and finished the against the grain with a Gillette DE w/ feather blade. A nice relaxing Tuesday evening.

Today's shave with Dior's Eau Sauvage duo which I met at a very long long time ago make me feel 35 years younger.
Have a good 'time travel' shave to all members,

Thanked: 485Yeah, it's hard isn't it? I keep seeing new stuff here and thinking... "Hmmmm, I haven't seen that particular [insert_product] from upper west Uzbekistan before, I wonder if I can find where to buy it on the 'net...". Hence my fortnightly 'pocket money' is now almost equally divided 50/50 beer/shaving_products...
Cool! I was just talking about that the other night! How'd it go?
Really nice reflection of the brush in the razor...That's a nice picture...
Tsk. Always such great photos. I say 'tsk' because sometimes that what one says when one is blown away by art...
Welcome! How's it all going? Is it working out?Last edited by carlmaloschneider; 05-02-2012 at 08:06 AM.

Thanked: 485Wednesday
Nice shave with the Törnblom. I used Bald Frog ‘Wake Up Rosemary’ soap, which was very nice. However, the most EXCITING news is that I found a new scent at The Shaver Shop. I’ve been looking for Tabac, and also considering Figaro (which I’ll probably still get, plus the cream) but came across ‘Whisky’ by Evaflor. It was only 24 bucks and smells really ‘manly’.
It does, however, make me smell a little like I’ve spent the night playing cards, drinking port and smoking ‘Dr Pat’ roll your own tobacco, but there’s vanilla in there too. It’s nice, I like it, and the glass bottle is nice (I detest plastic bottles, though they’re safer in the bathroom)…
Hope you’re having a nice week...
Razor: Klas Törnblom Frameback, Ivory Scales that allow the light to shine through in the most gentle way… Pre-Shave: ‘Sukin’ facial moisturiser (natural oil overload) Soap: Bald Frog ‘Wake Up Rosemary’ Eau de Toilette: ‘Whisky’ by Evaflor

05-02-2012, 10:10 AM #80MNS | Grelot | Thäter | DRH Arlington ASB | Patou Pour Homme
Another one for the books! Mike's soaps really create such a great lather on the face. I whipped up some creamy goodness and slathered it around the mug. The citrus and wood scent of the orange/cedar/black pepper was intoxicating. And the Sprecher restored Grelot wiped the stubble away. Two passes to perfection, and my face feels like a million bucks! The fougere scent of the Arlington paired well with the citrus and the richness of the Patou tied it all together. I'm ready for the world!
