SOTD
Pre-shave: Castle Forbes
Soap: MWF
Brush: Semogue 830
Razor: Najeeb Malluk & Co. 6/8 1/2 Hollow 'America My Home'
Balm: Skincado Combat Ready Balm
-I was inspired to finally get the Najeeb razor in shape. I purchased it at an antique store about a month ago. I actually did not make new scales for it. I unpinned another razor with some scales I already made. I used some nuts and bolts I found at a Radio Shack instead of brass pins. With a little bit of a tweak I have scales that can take different razors. Anyway, the razor performed well. Better than I expected. The 1/2 hollow seems to suit my hair and face fine. Everything else made the shave that much better. Gotta love the Fat and the Castle Forbes pre shave. Though I still think the pre shave smells like a beaver's wet behind. I nicked myself a few times. I think was rushing a little bit. Besides this the shave was silk. Thanks all and have a good week.-

I recently refreshed this blade for the first time since Glen restored it for me. It held the edge well before, and was smooth as silk today. It took one pass to a near BBS. I think this is the only sheffield steel that I personally own, but I like the way it fits my face. What a way to start the day with an Arlington trifecta! He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

Thanked: 88Another test shave
Razors: 5/8 EM Christensen Co. & 4/8 Bengal
Prep: Bald Frog Eucalyptus Balm
Brush: Whipped Dog black badger
Soap: CO Bigelow shave cream
A/S: witch hazel, Joop
Result: BBS
This is the last shave for me for these guys, as they're going to a new home today. I got a great shave from the Christensen, and the Bengal isn't in bad shape, either.
Hmmm, it occurs to me that this is my first birthday shave.Last edited by DFriedl; 07-09-2012 at 12:59 PM.

Nice picture. Funny thing happened to Dylan when he was in New Jersey town for a concert.
