    'Scuse me Joe. Sorry if I butt in. I just overheard you talking about depth of field. You're talking about a narrow 'depth of field' (DOF); that is, where objects only in a narrow band are in focus. That's achieved by using a wide (big) aperture rather than a small aperture. I love a narrow DOF too. :-)

    Never an intrusion from you my friend. Thanks for the info, it has been years since I thought about any of this. Used to have a Canon AE-1 back in the early 80's when I was in the Navy. Took some great shots with it.
