Haibun=one long haiku. Not saying your style is exactly like a haibun but it it has a rhythm that reminds me of one. Or maybe that is old Uncle Walt shining through?

There's no rule that says you gotta have more than one razor to post here. Don't wait for the new razors...keep posting on SOTD.

As I cleaned up, I looked at my chin. Not only had I cut myself, but I'd taken a nice chunk of skin out.

    -Sotd-

    Prep: Hot Shower
Razor: Invicta (2nd pass), Gillette Slim Adjustable Thingamabob with Gillette 7 o'clocks (1st pass)
    Soap: L'Occitane
    Brush: Semogue 830
    Post: Cold towel
    Balm: AOS Sandalwood

Today was opposite day in the bathroom. Usually I call in the DE to clean up a mess. This time I used a straight to do it. Not sure what happened with the DE. I am guessing that is the difference between it set on 5 and 9. I usually crank it all the way up. This time I decided to go a little more mellow. I am prone to to more weepers on 9. Anyway, I might have missed a larger blade skimming across my 'cada'. In the end, nice shave, very smooth face and finished off with some Caswell Massey Sandalwood Cologne. Tchau.

Razor: 7/8" Alex Jacques, Wedge, French Point (w/ Black & Tan G10 scales)
Honing (Refresh): 30 laps on yellow coticule La Petite Blanche (dilucot method w/slurry ) + 30 laps on Nakayama Asagi JNat (tomonagura w/slurry with progression)

Results: What a start to this beautiful Monday with a super relaxing shave. I must say that despite everything life throws at us, it's times like these that remind me that it's great to be a man . I took the AJ trough an edge refreshing honing session and she delivered magnificently this morning . The rose-based überlather was exceptional to say the least . My skin feels super soft and smooth, not to mention moisturized.

Have a fabulous and productive Monday gentlemen .

    Cheers,
    Robert

As usual Robert. You have taken your pictures to the next level and will drag we troglodytes along...

How is the Floid Blue scent compared to Proraso?

Thank you Joe... Proraso leaves a scent that lasts all day. Floid does not. Its scent is pretty fleeting and won't interfere with any cologne you wear afterwards. Hope this helps.

Shhhh! Don't tell anyone. Thanks David. It's a recycled picture as I haven't found the mojo to take out the camera gear and take photos yet.

    Another outstanding shave.

    Puma 5/8" Spanish Point
    "The Fat"
    Thater SRP
Finished with Thayers, Alt Innsbruck and some Proraso cream.

Another shave with 3 days growth. I rarely shave on the weekends so Monday morning I am always scruffy. I honed the razor on my La Dressante bout, and finished on my new vintage combo.

Smooth and pleasurable from first to last stroke. Not a bit of discomfort and absolutley no sting from the AS. An exceptional shave with an exceptional razor!
