    Thursday

Music on the way to work this morning went from Ben Harper, to Led Zeppelin to old style Gospel music. ‘Oh Happy Day, I’m on My way To Cannan, Jordan River, Surely God is Able, etc. Great to sing along to. I was reminded very much of the Blues Brothers movie…

The shave was with the Burrell again. Nice shave but some stubble by going home time. I tried the clear water touchup pass after my usual ATG pass. I didn’t find any benefit to the clear water over the thinned lather I normally use for the ATG pass. Normally I do a full WTG followed by an ATG with a thinned lather on the jawline, neck and lower cheeks. I’m sure that for me the barrier to a really GDS shave is direction of hair growth. My trouble area is where the ramus joins the body of the mandible on the left hand side of the body. I just thought you should know that.

Cufflinks of the day were ‘vintage’ green stone and silver. I guess they could be jade but they're probably not. I say ‘vintage’ as I think these are maybe more modern than most of my others. No idea of date, maybe 50’s or 70’s? Anyway, they’re nice.

Well today I decided to test my hone on the recently acquired Dubl Duck. All I have to say is my Hart was never this good. I need to touch it up apparently. This set me up for a suprise. I originally was only going to do the left cheek with the Duck and finish with my Hart but after I got through that I kept going. Just gotta get used to it sounding like sandpaper in comparison. Off to the Norton with my Hart.

Those Ducks give a wonderful shave but they do like to make some noise.
