Yes, it could be on that list too...
The Palmer has a slight smile at the toe ( about 3/8" back) but pops hair along the entire length. Just can never seem to dial it all the way in... I have become spoiled by all the other ones. Its a little disappointing really. All my others give great shaves, even an old Genco that DOES have a triangular blade because the hone wear is so bad, but it shaves...

Had this shave about a week ago, and just realized that it was too good not to post!

I had it honed up by a friend because my genius self decided I wanted to roll the edge! Not ever again!
This edge that my good friend put on it was one of the best I have ever shaved on! My Friodur from last week beats it, only just! What a good honer on a Naniwa 12k can do..
Anyways, enough talk, more shave!

Pre: Long, hot shower and a wash of the face
Razor: M Jung A Piano(my first ever!)
Brush: VDH Boar(I need another one, it gets old typing this every week)
Soap: Proraso-VDH Uberlather(wonderful!)
Strop: HNSB Custom Cow hide(30/60)
After Shave: Aqua Velva(I love smellin like a man!)

+1 On what every one else said. If you do get the Linux disk, just keep linux! I use it day to day and I love it! If not, windows repair disk is the way to go.

If their isn't anything deathly vital on there, just start over. Do it every year and just keep everything important.

I remember years ago trying to get Mandrake to work, then Turbo, Red Hat and a whole BUNCH of others. This was back when it was pretty 'iffy'. Just installing a printer was nightmare. But I loved learning the code; and I loved how it looked. There was one time I had three Operating Systems on one computer. In fact, there was a Linux forum that was NEARLY as helpful as this forum! I've got a spare laptop, may give Linux a go again. If MSAccess exported to a Linux distro, I think I'd be in there...I do like creating databases and I do like attempting to learn Visual basic for Apps.

I awoke to lovely bird song outside my window and immediately thought of the Bob Marley song. One must admit that that time when the actual dawn corresponds with one’s illogical obsession of getting up when the clock says one should is a great time. Wouldn’t it be cool if we all went back to getting up when the sun told us to - without this insane obsession with artificially regulating our lives, just so we know when we can go and buy a loaf of bread? Wouldn’t it be great to just wander down to the market an hour after sunrise, and if we were early, that’s OK, we’d just pass the time of day with Old Mister Jacob, who would engage us in conversation about the stars until the shop keeper arrived. Maybe you are one who still actually lives like this? If so, I’d like to hear from you, even if it’s just so I know exactly who’s life I’m coveting…

The shave was quite nice, but I think a honing session needs to be done, at whatever ‘hour’ I choose, damn the clock and calendar!.

The W&B is always as smooth as silk, and every time I use up a little more of the O Melhor I lament its ingredients, I’ve decided for a while to use up what ‘un-natural’ soaps and creams I have and go all natural.

Cufflinks of the day were Edwardian cellulose, beagle portrait, cost about ten bucks. They were wrecked when I got them, I replaced the ends (I forget the name of the 'ends', I know they have a name; bullet something??) and polished them a bit. Of course all my old cufflinks have the gold worn off, but it allows me to polish, and it's very satisfying to polish one's cufflinks each night. These sort of cufflinks can go for near a hundred bucks now...
