Prep: Hot shower
Brush: The Hive, by Simpson
Razor: Puma in horn scales w MOP inlay, by Neil Miller
Super lather: Dr Harris labender + Proraso green
AS: Proraso
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean
The Hive arrived yesterday and I had to shave, of course and compare it to other brushes. It's a high quality two band Simpson knot and at first I thought it looked and felt a lot like my Simpson Astor anniv. brush (truly excellent brush) and I wasn't that far off irl, I think - very good in making lather and the feel was very soft (actually softer than most two band) - I need to try more lathers/soaps of course, but it was a very good first go!
