    Friday
Finally at the end of a looong week at work, and I am rewarded with a great Friday shave with a new razor. I bought a 44/20 Economy supply from Rene (nicknbleeding) and it came shave ready. Nice job on the edge Rene! It is fun to have something to compare your edges to. I am hard headed and learned to hone while learning to shave so this is the first time I have shaved with an edge I didn't put on a razor. Smooth relaxing comfortable shave, 3 passes and its off to the last day of work for the week. Oh, and did I mention CBS!
Prep: Hot Shower/ Proraso pre-post creme
    Brush: Thater 4125-2
    Scuttle: G5
    Soap: MWF 'Da Fat!'
Razor: Economy Supply 44/20, 11/16" Square Point
    Post: Proraso AS/ Nivea Lotion
Result: Another Great day to be a Man!

Wow, great description. The best I could ever do is "Hey, smells nice."

Great shave with the Klas Törnblom this morning. I’m liking this razor more; it used to be that it was a bugger to strop, but I’ve come to grips with it. I’ll definitely have to get some more Truefitt and Hill Trafalgar; I’ve had this bottle for almost a year; it was one of the first ‘fancy’ aftershaves I bought when I first started straight shaving a little over a year ago. Before that after shaves were bought by family for Father’s day and birthdays. I like the Trafalgar; it’s a very sunny citrusy scent; for spring and summer; so I should order some.

Was listening to old style Gospel music on the way to work again this morning. I didn’t actually realise what a great Gospel singer I am. It’s quite astonishing, really. The highlight of the day; though, was watching a Black Shouldered Kite hovering looking for prey.

Cufflinks of the day were birds too. Pheasants. Mightily pissed off I was when I saw that leaving the lids off my cufflink boxes was a BAD idea. The damp air allowed water to get under the glass and stain the background a little. My wife hates these, which is entirely why I continue to wear them of course.

I’ve enjoyed our conversation throughout this working week; have a nice weekend. I hope for you the weekend is sunny, 25, slight, slight breeze; or maybe 35, boiling hot, at the pool or beach; with a really nice hot night and a party to go to.

    Catch you later, Carl

PS, wish I could post a link to Mary Don't You Weep by The Caravans, but my internet connection's been slowed and it's taken about an hour just to post THIS!!!

Razor: Klas Törnblom | Cream: Body Shop Macca root | After Shave: Truefitt and Hill Trafalgar
Carl, those cufflinks are a killer! I don't think I would have the bollocks to pull those off like you do daily! I am really loving the way both you and Bill are using the focal point fade in your pictures!

An excellent Friday this seems to be! I received the new Windsor soap yesterday, and couldn't wait to give it a go. It's a wonderful scent, and the performance is exactly what I've come to expect from Harris' tallow offerings! The chubby tore into the brand new puck and I soon found my face smothered in piles of creamy white lather. The Windsor opens with a wonderful grapefruit/citrus accord. Depth is added with some cracked black pepper and the base contains just enough vetiver to let you know it's there and ground the whole thing with an earthy layer. Needless to say, once I pulled myself away from the scent of the lather, the Manaslu glided effortlessly over my hollywood mug to leave it übersmooth. Two passes found me BBS and ready for work. Now if I can just stay focused until we go out for sushi tonight!
Bill, You are killing my AD's buddy. The Mansulu looks great and your description of the Windsor soap just makes me want to run out and grab some!

    Razor: Vintage Bismark Extra Hollow
    Brush: Rooney Pure Badger
    Soap: Mama Bear's Lilac Ice
AS: Thayers Lavender followed by Brut
    Cologne: Brut
Result: Yet another no pic day. WiFi has been spotty at best lately and is really starting to annoy me. Luckily I have this Bismark to help wipe away the annoyance. Über sharp and smooth. Glided through the wonderful lather easily, leaving my face catfish belly smooth for a big day at work.

Thanks, Jeff. I can't be an enabler without a bit of salesmanship, can I?

+1 - I love the pheasant cufflinks, as well.

Joe, the Windsor is definitely worth having, if you like the Harris tallow soaps. Great performance and this is by far their best scent, IMHO. If it helps your ADs, I understand the Manaslu was a limited production, so you probably won't find one of the M-55s very often. There was a time that I was going to sell mine, but that inclination has probably passed!

I nearly did this, too. I usually only take my binary in octets, though, since IPV4 is my only use for it.

Oh, and no shave for me today. It's "Jeans and Tennis Shoes" day at the office.

Bill you should do side work discribing soap and scents! Would love to see you at work in a court room.

Default on your mortgage in DC, Maryland or Virginia, and you just might get that chance!
